Q and A

Why name Sun and Lillie's daughter Rose?: When I was brainstorming names for their child, I remembered that Lillie and her family members are named after German and Latin names for flowers such as the balsamine, mohn (poppy), gladiolus, and lily. And so, the idea came to have their daughter be named Rose. I believe the name has some Latin and German origins to it. Plus, a rose can symbolize a variety of traits depending on the color such as peace, gratitude, joy, enthusiasm, etc.

How did Sun and Lillie react to finding out about Rose?: I think I had it in my SM fics where they kept the gender ambiguous until Rose's birth. But in my USUM fics, they found out after Lillie was nearing the end of her second trimester. Sun and Lillie were joyful, of course. Lillie had first brought up the name 'Rose' because she remembered what her mother Lusamine had told her as a child about the meaning of the word. Sun wanted to spin Lillie around in celebration, but he reminded himself of her pregnancy. Though they did hug it out in joy!

Will Hau be like Hala?: I still have Hau as an Island Kahuna in his late teens in my USUM fics. But I have his physique toned and somewhat well-built despite how many malasadas he consumes on a daily basis.

Will there be appearances of Gladion and Selene in the future?: Yes, there will be, and they are a couple, but most likely as side mentions.

What Pokémon does Sun use in your Ultra Sun/Moon fics?: Sun’s team consists of an Incineroar, Alolan Ninetales (Shiron), Lycanroc (Dusk Form), Naganadel, Greninja, and a Metagross. He has more Pokémon at his disposal, but this is what I consider to be his elite team.

What is Hilbert's team?: Hilbert's Pokémon line-up consists of a Serperior, Haxorus, Zoroark, Greninja, Blaziken, and a Garchomp. He has Reshiram and Victini, of course, but he doesn't use them in battles unless the situation is dire.

Why only one-shots?: Mainly because I don't think I'm comfortable enough to do chapter fics. So, I just stick to one-shots at the moment.

What is the meaning of your username?: I used to be highly involved in the Attack on Titan fandom. It means 'caged bird' in German (I know, it has an umlaut on the 'a'), and the numbers '120' was my weight class for wrestling back in high school.
