Hermione stumbles upon a journal one day in the library. As she reads further and further she finds that it is not only the journal of a poor widow but the woman has mysterious connections to Hermione and Draco in ways that she has never imagined. Draco has joined the Order of the Phoenix and his family ancestry has put Hermione in jeopardy of losing her life.
