One late night of drinking in a random bar on Cornaria he finds someone he used to know and hate but in an attempt to make amends the person offers for Fox to come there any time he wants. Will Fox take him up on this offer or suffer in silence.

A void of loneliness has always existed in Fox's heart, ever since his father died. It has only grown stronger since then, after Krystal had broken his heart. Fox was perfectly content to stay lonely and depressed, until Peppy gets an idea that will cheer him up. This idea will give Fox a new chance at starting fresh.

Fox struggles to come to terms with the fact that his team mates are following their own paths and worries about being left alone. After a rescue mission turns out to be a trap, Fox has to set aside his concerns and focus on working with an old rival and stop a persistent foe from destroying Corneria. While Fox is driven by his father's legacy, Wolf struggles with past regrets.
