The UEFA European Championship Men 2016 football, commonly abbreviated as Euro 2016, is the fifteenth edition of the European Football Championship, competition organized by UEFA and bringing together the best European male teams. It will take place in France from 10 June to 10 July 2016. The games opening and closing of the championship will be played at the Stade de France (Saint-Denis). Conversely, three former European champions are absent. The Netherlands, European champions in 1988 and third in the last World Cup, finished fourth in their group. Greece, European champion 2004 quarter-finalist in 2012 and eighth-finalist of the last World Cup, finished a surprising last of his qualifying group. Denmark, European champions in 1992, failed dams. Recent globalization in 2014 and seeded in the draw for the qualifiers, Bosnia and Herzegovina also missed the mark and was eliminated in the dams. |
