Hi there, I'm Misty! I am a college student with a passion for writing. Updates tend to be slow, but definitely not forgotten. I only recently resumed posting after a few years of hiatus, but I intend to stay.

I usually write shorts and one-shots most because I find it hard maintain inspiration to finish stories. However, I'm planning to write one with The Infernal Devices that won't be a short story, as well as a compilation of vignettes for The Mortal Instruments, so get excited Shadowhunters! :) More information will be listed below if you're interested.

Rosetta Wakefield is a Chinese shadowhunter from the Taiwan. After an attack on the Taipei Institute by mysterious creatures made of gears: a new threat to shadowhunters all across the world. As the only survivor of the massacre, she travels to London to ask Henry Branwell, a good friend of her father's, what he knows about this new enemy. Meanwhile, she discovers a deep family secret that could change her life. Why is she so special? Why do these mechanical creatures want her? Rose doesn't know. To make matters worse, she is reunited with an old friend of her family's, someone she was in love with for years. But he has changed over the many years that they were apart. The Memoirs of Lily Chen

I began this as a sort of character study for two minor but loveable characters. After reading the majority of the Shadowhunter Chronicles and discovering so much more about their pasts, I found a connection with Lily Chen and fell in love with her friendship with Raphael. Since they are relatively minor characters, I wanted to create a story for them alone to explore their thoughts and emotions as they accomplished missions together. This story is written from Lily's perspective, featuring a softer platonic relationship as we find out more about Raphael's care for her and the things we don't see in the original work. Minor spoilers may apply for scenes that certain vignettes are inspired by. Requests are welcome!
