This has two main characters in the start, Ryoko (the boy) and Twilight (the "spirit", is actually something called a Kitsubasa), and, eventually, another character named Yuki. It takes place in a mountain valley village in Japan. Ryoko becomes fascinated with the mythical creatures he meets, specifically the masked individual he tends to follow. A Beneficial Union (Ben 10 Fanfic): Difficult to explain in a few sentences, but is basically a story of AUs, most of whom are either grappling to maintain their own realms and stave off other alternates for the fear of a Eon 2.0; some of whom are trying to fix the rampant violence between alternates over territory; some of whom trying to take care of the omnipresence of mental illness, substance abuse, and unhealthy practices among alternates despite the adversity they face. Many alternates keep to themselves, but when these begin to disappear tensions begin to rise yet again, as does the prevalence of a previously abnormal spark. One alternate couldn't be happier. (It isn't a mystery as to who the villain is. Warning for disturbing themes and imagery) (Working Title) To Change a Shifter (Ben 10 AU): (Is in the same canon as A Beneficial Union) Follows a Ben known to other Bens as "Trix" whose Omnitrix had fused with him by his teens. Shortly after Eon's tyrrany, Ben secludes himself to mull over what had happened, even doubting whether or not he should continue acting as a hero, when he falls upon an odd stone of obvious magical properties. It had healing abilities, clearly, but what Ben was interested in was the odd, euphoric calming effect it had on him. He soon becomes accustomed to using this as his sole copping mechanism, and-once Gwen and Kevin leave-he begins to abuse it, losing the ability to maintain his emotional stability any other way. This is a Rook x Ben story, in which Rook helps Ben cope, and they form a healthy relationship. Side note, human!Rook makes an appearance (perhaps permanently) and any character who is a descendant of an anodite who either had the spark or an action-packed life will have physical abnormalities more similar to their anodite heritage than that of their human. This means that Ben needs to learn and understand his nonhuman traits and how he had set them to maltreatment. |
