This started as a 30-day challenge to post something 1000 words or less every day from a one-word prompt. I extended the challenge to 40 days, and now that I'm in school I find this too much fun to stop completely, and so I will be trying to update every weekend or every other weekend at the very least. Most of them are Legolas - Thranduil centered!

A warrior, hardened and ruthless. Death is his duty. Elves were not made to endure the horrors of war, their souls are too soft and their hearts too easily broken. Even so, some are more bothered by it than others. Following the end of the Ring War, it comes to the attention of his friends that perhaps Legolas is more troubled than he lets on. They rush him home, and hope he can be saved before his only option is to sail west.

Ever wondered how Thranduil got the idea for Legolas's name? Here is my version of what happened that includes magic and a bit of time travel. It all started two days before the journey to Mordor with two pesky hobbits getting ahold of Gandalf's staff, wanting to play 'wizards' for a moment. This all backfires and Legolas ends up sent to a time where all the elf Lords, are children

Because 2016 was a complete and utter joke, and just a terrible year, so I wanted to write something that didn't mean much at all, to hopefully make people feel happier. Midwinter in Mirkwood: Elladan and Elrohir come to visit, Elrond and Gandalf argue over books, there's ice skating and ice hockey and snow, and the beginning of a new year. To Thranduil's great dismay, Legolas is nothing like his father when it comes to his choice in clothing. This was made very clear when he was just a young elfling. The Hobbit. (Legolas/reader) Whilst travelling through the Mirkwood Forest with Thorin and his company, you are ambushed by elves. You initially hate the creatures, especially the king's son, with his demeaning expressions, superiority complex and infuriatingly perfect shoulder to waist ratio. As you travel to the misty mountain, you can't help but feel strangely drawn to him.

Drowning under the weight of grief and memories, Legolas struggles to create a new life for himself in the forests of Ithilien. The question is whether or not he has been scarred irreversibly by war and loss. Forth in the Hope of Mirkwood series.

The new King of Dale visits the stronghold of the Elven-king and learns how diplomatic relations are maintained.

Elves are vanishing all the while Dol Guldur's attacks on Legolas' barrier grow stronger and more frequent. It's time for the final battle against the dark presence in the Southern Mirkwood, but the question is whether or not Mirkwood will stand alone in this fight? Third in the Hope of Mirkwood series.

A father and elfling spend the day together. In honor of Fathers Day

While Legolas is away, His wife is left behind to help take care of the Kingdom, and her stubborn Father-in-law. However the tables turn quickly, showing a new and much more caring side of the cold hearted King. All that can be asked is, what will happen when herbs are involved?

Legolas goes to Rivendell for the first time in order to attend the annual spring festival as well as to strengthen ties with Rivendell for Mirkwood. There, he meets Elladan and Elrohir, also called the "Trickster Twins" of Rivendell and who are 100% determined to break the prince's icy, secretive facade...but will this trip prove to have more to give than friendship?

They are Silvan and they are dangerous. Travelling to Imladris on a mission for Thranduil, Legolas, or Taú, leads his group under the guise of a simple captain. Cultural differences and age-old prejudice will arise, and the Noldor's perception of the Silvan people will drastically change - but will it be for good or bad? Imladris prepares for uncouth wood-elves…

Five year-old Legolas is captured by orcs and taken to Dol Guldur, where he is given to an assassin to be trained. The Nazgûl underestimated their assassin's new-found hatred of the Enemy however. Their plan backfires when a deadly but good Legolas escapes, hiding from the kin who think him dead and killing orcs from the shadows...
