UPDATE: 2/5/12

Instead of posting an author's note to Disenchanting Illusions, I'm posting my excuse for slow updates here.

Due to growing constraints with Graduate school (I'm graduating soon guys!..like in August), I'm taking a bit of a hiatus. I have bits and pieces written for the next three chapters as well as the ritual that will be bringing back our long absent Marauder in addition to the plot that will bridge the two gaps. Unfortunately, nothing that I have written already is whole so cannot be updated. I will be continuing to work on these chapters however during my spare time, but with my last two grad classes this semester (finals in April), a conference in March, and my comprehensive oral exam (60 books...urgh!) in July to study for, I am unsure when that next update will be finished and ready for posting. I am truly sorry for these long absences and blocks of time between updates. I do not plan on giving up on this story. It will be finished, I promise. Please, just hold tight. I can even sent recommendation of other author's that can tide you guys over if any of you so desire. Again, I apologize for my horrible inability to carve out a time to write in my schedule. One day I may be able to schedule a time to write but not now.

Bio:

I'm an English major in the graduate program currently. My aspiration is to one day work in the publishing field as an editor or a writer. I would love to be published one day, but all of my own writings are currently unfinished. I'm practicing on voice and description in my fanfictions between my class work and job, so updates may be spaced occasionally. I strive to get my chapters out on a weekly basis but very rarely do I actually succeed.

The current fandom I've immersed myself in is Harry Potter. I typically go for non-cannon pairing and the same applies for this community. I've never been a RonxHermione pairing fan. I respect those that are, but it was never a believable pairing for me. I have always felt Ron was too immature, selfish, and petty for Hermione. She's too intellectual for him. They have nothing in common other than their friendship with Harry. They bicker and bait each other too much to ever have a health and long lasting relationship. I'm also not a big fan of HarryxGinny pairings. Ginny was always too much of a fan-girl to wind up with Harry for me. I have read some really good pieces where this pairing has worked, but in the novels themselves, I didn't really see it. But hey, that is why there is fanfiction, right? You can find the pieces that fit your likes and ignore the ones that don't.

I'm currently working with the SiriusxHermione pairing. I have read tons of great stories with these two together, so I hope I can pull it off. I have some of the stories in my Favorites, so hit the category tab and check them out.
