Firefighter Bea Smith and her crew at Wentworth Fire Station are called to a fire at a derelict warehouse in the early hours. Allie Novak is tired of living on the streets and sleeping in doorways. Stumbling across an old warehouse one cold night she slips inside, hoping the structure will offer some shelter from the elements.

This story is about how could have Bea and Allie find a way to each other if Bea embraced her role as the Top Dog. We all love tough and badass Bea Smith, so let s enjoy it. The story doesn t follow the storyline in the show.

Support worker Allie finds herself helping a young girl one evening and, as a result her whole life changes.

Inspired by CuriousStar's amazing prompt: Bea never tried to kill Harry. Instead after she gets beaten pretty badly she goes to a women's shelter for a night and meets Allie. Bea continues to go back to the shelter even when she hasn't been hurt (does hair makeovers for the other women?) and grows closer to Allie. As you can see, A Different Choice makes for a different story!
