![]() Author has written 2 stories for Metroid. "Beware. The mythical Thoth was concerned with maintaining the balance between creation and destruction, yes and no, light and dark, not the triumph of one over the other." If you can figure out where the quote is from I will give you a cookie. (poll at top of page) Balance is an important part of the universe and is present in every aspect of life. When the sun fuses hydrogen into helium it is a controlled reaction. It is balanced. When a sumo wrestler stands on a toothpick without it snapping, there is balance. (An extreme example, no less, but you understand my point.) When a writer writes a story there should be a balance between character development, plot development and scenerical description (setting development). This is what many of the stories here are lacking simply because they are written to please some just turned thirteen year old's childish fantasies. But on the flip side, perfection is not balance either. If something, such as a theory, idea, or proposal, has no flaws, problems, or issues it doesn't cover, it is probably invalid or incorrect in some invisible or unnoticeable way. Anything I submit is open to reviews so have at it (I could care less.) My sincerest apologies, I got caught up in my own personal life. I had (what we computer geeks call a "sploding compy") a fried motherboard. While I was busy recovering data and finding a new compy, there were no updates. (At least the taxes were done already). Again, my deepest regrets. |
