My first story set in the universe of Hunter x Hunter. SPOILERS ahead ! (2011 anime series & manga) Gon is back on Whale Island after parting ways with Killua and suffers from deep depression. His best friend is gone. A friend who wasn't only a friend.

Gon has a nightmare and when he sees the empty bed at the far end of his room, he gives in to his guilt and remorse. This is a simple, KilluGon angst one shot. (If you're confused at the pronouns used in this fanfic, please read the author note at the end first although it might take away a little satisfication for the ending of the story.)

Killua does not remember the green haired boy. He thinks that may be best. (Killugon if you squint. I read this story about Killua having his memories taken by his family and becoming an assassin, then meeting Gon again, and I couldn't resist.)

"Because fuck those assholes who want to put labels on people for who they loved or who they are!" Killua hissed throwing up the middle finger at the sky. Almost for a split second Gon could dream life was perfect. Or Gon gets bullied and Killua steps in.
