![]() Author has written 2 stories for Parodies and Spoofs, and Repo! The Genetic Opera. Omnomnom, like it ain't no thang. Unfortunately, I don't read nearly enough on here as I should (seeing as I really don't read... ANY... Anymore...). So if you've found or written something out-of-the-box and a little bit funny, I'd love to hear about it. So, I'm going to assume you've dropped by to learn more about the mysterious, beguiling author. First off you ought to know that the author is neither mysterious nor beguiling, and has no plan of ever being anything more than a glorified scribbler. My intent is merely to entertain and I truly hope that none of my beliefs or ideas rub off on you, reader, because that would just be a terrible thing to do to somebody. So, take the stories with a grain of salt, preferably one that weighs around three pounds. Writing, like acting, math, or cricket, is a practice sport and you'll never fully master it. Sure, you can learn as much as possible, but there's always going to be new ways to go about things, make them better and make them unique. And of course, like in anything, there will be people who disagree with you. There is a definite line between flamers and critics. You must learn to love the critics who tell you how to improve in a reasonable and polite manner. Feel free to hate on those who will say "omg u r teh suxxors so fail". These are trolls, my friend. But don't freak out if someone says your leading lady needs more dimension, or the story felt rushed. They're trying to help, I promise. And though countless posts of gushing praise are a lovely ego boost, proper criticism is much more useful, wouldn't you agree? I also have a Fictionpress account under the same name, with nothing on it... Yet. |
