![]() Author has written 2 stories for Avatar: Last Airbender. August 12, 2008 The first chapter is out of the story. I've renamed it: A Light in the Shadow. It is more appropriate. Please Enjoy!! Also...my sincerest apologies...but Powerful Benders is on permanent hiatus. Its successor is A Light in the Shadow. This story was derived from the first and so, in essence, for those of you that liked the first story, the second story has the heart of the first. Name and Mind: I like planes. Surprise?? Well, I love planes, specifically military planes. Mainly, I used to love it for its power and beauty. Now, I love them just for the fact that they can take us into a domain we thought was only accessible in dreams. The reason for the change? See, I used to be a huge military buff. It was a reflection of my sense of justice, but as time went on (from 2 years ago till now), I wavered a bit in my beliefs of justice. I used to be the "bring in the calvary" kind of guy...then I turned into a pacifist once I realized Shaolin Monks were the coolest people on the planet (but seriously, they are)...they were pacifist's whose main goal was to protect. That was incredible. But more than anything, I have a greater focus on morality. That's what I truly adore. Unconditional, beautiful and untainted morality. Well...I turned 21 last year...oh man...but I still haven't grown out of my love for Anime (still watching them, YES!!). I'm in a relationship with a beautiful woman, who I love. She was the one who allowed me to see the world in a new light, so I'm grateful to her. I'm right now in an engineering program that will probably finish in a couple of years...wow, I've come a long way since them. I love certain medias: books, games, paintings, drawings, movies, anything. But in terms of genres, what I love are the stories that evoke determination, will power, and persistence! Why? Well, these 3 evocations allow for hope when there is only desperation, calmness when there is only chaos, and happiness when one can only see pain... As I mentioned before, I love justice, but more than that, I love morality. I truly love morality. As such, I look at those that put their life on the lines everyday for our sakes as true heroes and heroines and I hold them in the highest regard. If I ever attempt to write a story it will most definitly be about them and/or trying to protect/save someone. I also have great respect for all the authors of FanFicion.Net since they take the time to actually sit down, think and write out what comes to mind and allow others to share in the experience that comes from reading their pieces. They also have to overcome any fear that may occur due to criticism by peers. Also the authors don't get paid (at least I don't think so) to do this and so, its logical to assume that they write stories out of love for their favorite characters and respect for fellow members and readers, which is greatly admirable. For this and the fact that you always tell readers when the next chapter may be out in the Author's Note, as the case is mostly, which is greatly appreciated, I thank you all, all the authors of FanFiction.Net. Your stories are always amazing! Favorite couples in Anime and Video Games Most definitely (since this is my favorite anime show EVER): Gohan and Videl (Dragonball Z) Goku and Chi-Chi (Dragonball Z again!) Cloud and Aerith (Final Fantasy VII) Naruto and Hinata (Naruto) Van and Hitomi (Escaflowne) Kenshin and Kaoru (Rurouni Kenshin) Zuko and Mai (Avatar: The Last Airbender) Heero and Relena (Gundam Wing) Miroku and Sango (Inuyasha) Shin and Sara (Macross Zero) Well...Tai and Sora (Digimon) till that changed at the end of the second season (I think) And...um...a...a whole bunch more I can't remember. (I'll keep adding as I remember) Projects: So, the first thing I want to do is use my Elliptical to charge batteries, but I could also use my bike. I found a DiY on it for bikes and I have a bike which I'm not using, and I have to lose a little bit of weight, so therefore: battery-charging-bike!! I can use it to charge many different lightly-powered items! After that, I want to work on my most important endeavor...my graphic novel. Yes...graphic novel. It used to just be a novel, but when I found out about the seriousness that graphic novels could evoke, I couldn't resist! My novel has to be a graphic novel!! So many hours have gone into it and I really hope I can get the story straightened out. Straightened out, you say? Well...the story is complicated...is that even the right word...I don't think so...its more than that. It's convoluted, complicated and utter chaotic! Its a human integrability driven story! Its about the positive magnitude that one person can impart in a world gone awry despite how low they might feel! Its in the perspective of 4 people, over the span of 10 books. The book is also a place for me to hide from what the mainstream media endorses everyday. There are times I find something really offensive, but everyone disagrees with me on it. So this story is a place where I can find out my own morality, my own foundations and move on in my life. Its not a self-study, but more a study in a certain type of philosophy that is pretty much close to religious morality and altruism. Anyway: Thanks sincerely for reading my profile and I hope you enjoy Powerful Benders. It'll be rewritten, and will most likely move faster than before. If anything, I can look at it as a project, right? Well take care, PS: If you think I'm religious, well I sorta am (but I am NOT preachy). I do believe in God and pray to Him everyday, that's for sure. But I'm not a perfect Catholic, that's also for sure... But, if anything, I'm really philosophically inclined. Morally inclined. I love all positive religions! I love helping people out! I want to help anyone I can!! I want to use my engineering skills for that purpose. Could I? Can I? It depends on how I extend my arms to help others. I've decided, engineering and story telling is where it's at. If there's anything you should take out of reading Powerful Benders, its this: Believe in yourself, believe you can help the world, believe that no matter what anyone says, you're still you, and no one can change that or take that away from you. K? Awesome! |
