Jens Erik Gould is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and recording artist based in Los Angeles, California. He has led several rock and folk bands as well as had a solo career, performing live in multiple countries and releasing several albums in the process. Jens grew up on classical music, playing piano and devouring the sounds of Beethoven, Mahler and Brahms before he ever listened to a full pop song. He then turned to rock, taking in as much of the 1990s Los Angeles live music scene as he could. His band Curious Few became a staple of the live music scene in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the late 90s and early 00s. The band also released a 10-song self-titled record. For the next several years, Jens Erik Gould performed as a singer-songwriter in France, Belgium, Venezuela and Mexico. He then formed a rock band in Mexico City called The Isas. They were regular performers at Mexico City clubs such as the Bulldog Café, Black Horse and El Pendulo, and they also released a self-titled EP. Then, returning to his hometown of Los Angeles, Jens released his 9-track solo record “Guns Down,” playing regular gigs around Hollywood at venues such as the House of Blues, Genghis Cohen and Room 5. |
