I've been reading fanfics for several years now and I'm trying to write myself. I read Murdoch Mysteries, Downton Abbey, NCIS, Harry Potter, Sound of Music, Dr. Quinn, Call The Midwife and a few other categories of fanfiction. My otps are William and Julia, Bates and Anna, Gibbs and Kate, Snape and Hermione (not the disgusting, creepy stories, and please don't hate me for it. I like the Alan Rickman Snape not the book Snape), Georgg and Maria, Mikayla and Sully, Patrick and Shelagh, and Kili and Tauriel. I am an avid reader and wish some of the other books I read had more fans!! I watch more movies and television than should be humanly possible but some how I still get things done in life! I have a list of famous actors I would probably drop everything a go for if they asked called the Hot Guy List, HGL for short. Cheif among those is Mark Harmon! Yes, I do know how old he is! But his blue eyes and silver hair just oooo!! He is truely a Silver Fox and in the words of a very favourite person if mine, "He can eat crackers in my bed any day!" :) haha Still not sure what she meant by that but it made me laugh!!

I am completely in love with British television and will never get over the emotional damage it has caused me! I have recently become a fan of Call The Midwife, and I've fallen in love with it. I will try not to be a spoiler, but I knew from the start that Shelagh and Patrick were meant to be. It is for that very reason that I finished all three seasons (the only ones out until December 28!) in two weeks, just so I could make sure things worked out for them at least a little bit! I highly suggest watching it if you like Murdoch Mysteries or Downton Abbey, because it is a period show, set in the 50s.

Update on Call the Midwife, the Christmas Special was fantastic! New season starts in March, so plenty of time to pick it up or catch up!

Also, I have recently watched the final Hobbit movie (No Spoilers I swear) and let me tell you I cried each of the 3 times I saw it in 5 days. I still don't know how I was able to do that! Any how, I am now and avid shipper of Kili and Tauriel, regardless of how everything ended, 'nough said! They're an impossible match that is just perfect to me!

So, it's been over a year since I last updated my profile and a ton has happened! I got married May 21, 2015! Woop! Hubby and I have know each other since 1st grade and started dating our junior year and have been together ever since! I gained 4 fur babies, Australian Shepherds. I love Aussies so much, had them since I was little, best dogs I've ever owned! I'm a huge advocate for the breed! If you read my Murdoch Mysteries fic you notice the breed appears in it, couldn't help myself! My first Aussie is Benny, short for Baker Street Benedict. Yes, he is named after Benedict Cumberbatch, obviously! His registered name Is Baker Street Benedict! He's a tan tipped Blue Merle with one blue eye and one brown. Born October 19, 2013. My second is little miss Bernadette! And yes, she is named after Laura Main's character, Sister Bernadette, from call the midwife! She's a yellow (Rare, old gene) with gorgeous bright blue eyes, kinda like Laura Main herself! Complete coincident, I had the name already picked out. She was born November 9, 2015. And then we have Sybil! Named for Lady Sybil Crawley from Downton Abbey She also goes by Sybbie, like Tom and Sybil's daughter. Her Registered name is Little Lady Sybil and just as the one from T.V. our darling girls is calm, quiet, and lady-like! She's a dark, chocolatey Red with minimal white and gold/amber eyes! Born March 20, 2016. Then we have Tyrion, our youngest, born September 1, 2017. He is yellow like Bernadette, but underneath the yellow gene he is base red and would look like Sybil without the yellow masking gene. He's registered Lord Tyrion of House Jolly, yes Game of Thrones. Hubby and I are nerds! Sybbie and Benny have had 3 litters of pups, The Precious Gems named for different gem stones, The Stormborn, named for Game of Thrones, born the day Hurricane Harvey's storms made it to our house, hence the stormborn, and the most recent, the Disney Royals, all named for Disney princesses and princes. Bernadette and Tyrion are expecting a litter within the month as well!

FYI: wigglebutt is a term Aussie owners uses because most Aussies have docked tails and rather than just wiggle their nub when happy they wiggle most, if not all of their butts! Seriously adorable!!!

Any how! Still addicted to television, mostly British! I can say that I have gotten my hubby into watching Doctor Who! Slowly I will coax him into watching Call the Midwife with me! He watches Downton Abbey, Harry Potter, and such already but I'm having trouble convincing him to sit down for that one, ha!

For anyone wondering what my depressing news was, I was diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure. At the time I had just turned 21 and had been married less than a year. The diagnosis meant I have a 5% chance over my entire lifetime of conceiving a child of my own. It was a devastating blow to us but somehow we've gotten through it. I still have moments of doubt, of questioning, of feeling utterly worthless. Now more than ever I relate to the dear Shelagh Turner. recently I've gone back through and watched the series again, its my favorite and I had been putting it off because I know Shelagh's diagnosis would hit me hard. I was right. I cried my eyes out when the pregnancy test was negative, when she had the operation, when she gave the nightdress to Sister Julienne, and most especially that one scene where she told Patrick "Somewhere else a decision was made that no amount of prayer will change and you have to accept that." he replies with "That's what I can't bear." and she tearfully says "I know how that feels." It shook me to my core. That's precisely how I feel, how living with this is. God has a plan for me and no matter how much I pray and question and wonder, His answer will stay the same. I've yet to figure out the plan but all His time. If you've never heard it you may not understand, but Hillary Scott has a newer song called Thy Will. The first time I heard it I nearly had to pull over I was crying so hard. The Lyrics are as follows:

Lengthy I know, I'm sorry. But I realized this one song portrayed all I was feeling in my heart. She originally wrote it when she had a miscarriage and at the time I'd heard it I thought I might have been pregnant, that the 5% chance had happened. But when it didn't and I was devastated again, this song replayed in my mind over and over again, reminding me that life will get rough, that there will be moments when I don't understand what He has in store for me. But I have to trust Him and let His will be done in my life!

When the Turner's go to get Angela and the love Shelagh feels for the darling little girl made me cry as well. Like she said, "I don't have to carry a child for it to be mine." I know the same holds for me. I long for the day my wonderful husband hands me my child, regardless of where it comes from. I will love it all the same!
