I am fairly new to the Twilight-verse, but have very quickly become a devoted fan. I love literature and have always had the (bad?) habit of devouring books as quickly as possible instead of savoring them. My sister-in-law introduced me to Twilight in October 2007. I read it in less than one day and immediately had to get New Moon and Eclipse to find out what happened next. The first time I read New Moon I was horrified to find that Edward and the other Cullens were missing from a huge section of the book, so I skimmed the middle in order to find them again. I have since re-read it a couple times and while I begrudgingly agree that Jacob was a good friend for Bella during Edward's absence, I am a loyal fan of Team Edward. I know that Stephenie Meyer's version of New Moon is necessary and perfect for her vision of Edward and Bella's relationship, but I still have longed to hear Edward's side of the story. With that in mind, I began drafting “Darkest Night” as Edward's version of what happened when he left Bella.
