(AU) Maura Isles is a successful architect with two children and is going through a nasty divorce. She's having a hard time when she meets her new assistant, Jane Rizzoli. Can Jane help Maura find herself again and break down the walls of her heart?

Maura travels to Boston to interview for the position of Chief Medical Examiner. She meets Jane by chance at a hotel and neither discloses enough information to figure out that they could potentially work together in the future. AU in terms of how and when Maura and Jane meet. How I imagined Jane and Maura truly coping with the loss of Frost and the baby. Inspired by Sam Smith's "Stay With Me". Darker than my norm, but beautiful in the end. Rated M.
