I'm a very, very sporadic fic writer, but my favorites list is a rather comprehensive collection of well-written fics which I have enjoyed multiple times, so I urge you to take a look. I can't abide writing technique errors (this includes grammar, punctuation, syntactical issues, and poor diction); unless the rest of the components of the fic are stellar (or unless the errors are purposeful and contribute to style), I won't even bother finishing the first chapter. I do forgive the occasional slip-up, especially if the story is really interesting, or if it's such crack that I can't help but laugh.

My fandoms include A:tLA, FMA, Naruto, Ouran, YGO, HP, and others. I don't ship in every fandom, but...

Fave ships (and to be clear, these occur after all characters in question are of legal age):

A:tLA - Zutara, Zukka, Tokka; for that matter, Sokka with pretty much anyone, because he's a pimp

Naruto - Naruto/Sasuke (of course), NaruHina (so sue me; they're cute), Sakura/Itachi, Sakura/Deidara (sure they're crack, but not as ludicrous as some others I've read), Sakura/Kakashi, Kakashi/Iruka (I don't think it's canon; I like the idea anyway), and anything involving the rest of the Rookie Nine, Genma, Raido and Iwashi, along with other less-than-major characters

YGO - Pretty much only Seto/Jou and Seto/Yami (which also includes any Set/Atemu; they're practically the same thing anyway)

Ouran - Kyouya/anyone except Hani or Mori, Haruhi/twins, Hikaru/Kaoru, and I suppose Haruhi/Tamaki

Invader Zim - I don't actually care so much about who the pairing is; I mostly care that the fic makes sense and is well-written (because so much IZ fic ISN'T). I've read really fantastic ZAPR mpreg (might as well plug "In Short Supply" here) and really crap IZ fic. As is the case with A:tLA, 90% (or more) of this fandom's fic is utter garbage - but yes, the other 10% is worth dying for. So go read "In Short Supply" now.

Firefly - I actually like the canon pairings, but also Zoe/Mal, Mal/Simon, and Zoe/Inara. I like very few Kaylee fics, because most people write her badly.

Crossover ships that would make me oh so happy:

Naruvatar: Sokka/Shika (they are, after all, the idea guys), Zuko/Sasuke (flames and angst), Azula/Hidan (she could be his malevolent Lord Helixdess)...also, Ty Lee would confuse the heck out of Lee and he would probably fall in love with her, and Mai would get along swimmingly with Ten-Ten.

Naru-gi-oh: crack Kaiba/Kiba (it's the dog thing)

Yu-gi-Ouran: Kaiba/Kyouya (clearly they were made for each other, to be exceedingly tall, dark, handsome, brooding, and competitive)
