After Homecoming, Tony spent the time to actually get to know Peter and really started to care about him. So much so that he always knew where the kid was, he spent almost every weekend with him, and he'd added numerous protocols to the suit to keep him safe. He thought he'd planned for every contingency. He'd just never planned for this.

Peter has a new metabolism along with his powers, but food doesn't come cheap, and he and Aunt May are currently living off of one income. Peter solves this problem by not eating as much as he maybe should. This has far-reaching consequences in terms of fights with villains, and Tony wonders where he went wrong.
