![]() Hi! I'm IlsditJ'aifolle, more commonly known as "A" or "Anonymous". In case you're wondering, my username is french for "They say I'm Crazy", which is pretty much true. As you might have guessed from my biligulisim, I'm a Canadiene girl! I love Les Misérables, Harry Potter, Phantom of the Opera, Free the Children, reciting random poetry that no-one except me cares about, the Pittsburg Penguins, the New Orleans Saints, Justin Bieber, Drew Brees, Sidney Crosby, Marianas Trench, to Kill a Mockingbird, annoying my best guy friend-who-everyone-says-likes-me, and Sprint Canoe and Kayack racing. I also love these quotes ;-) Et le monde, redevenu le même a perdue ses coleurs et l'arc-en-ciel son diadème I am agog, I am agast! Is Enjolras in love at last? -Et puis, tenez, monsieur Marius, je crois que j'étais un peu amoureuse de vous. Life Without 'Ponine Means Nothing At All. Would You Weep, 'Ponine, Should Enjolras Fall? Will You Weep, 'Ponine, For Me? People say that if I were in a Hogwarts House, I'd be a Gryffindor (although thay say I have undertones of Slytherin...) I generally don't like pairings, unless they arn't AU, OOC, and are plausible (so not HarryxGiant Squid, HarryxHermione) My Favorite Ships and Why I Like Them: Éponine and Enjolras (Les Miserables) : I used to hate this pair, and not even look at their stories when they'd come up. Now though, I like this pairing. Éponine was always tagging along with Marius, so she probally ended up in the ABC cafe quite a bit, were she would have met Enjolras. I think their personnalites would go well together (or better then, say, Marius and Éponine), and I like their passion, courage, and selflessness. Éponine also, in a way, symbolises everything Enjolras is fighting for. It would, of course, add to the tragety of the story too if Enjolras was in love with Éponine, because of course Éponine is love with Marius, so it's yet another case of unrequiented love. Fantine and Jean Valjean (Les Miserables) : This one just makes a lot of sense, as it would explain were Valjean's determination to find Cosette, dispite having never even met her, is derived from. Guilt only goes so far. It would also eplain why Valjean would never tell Cosette about Fantine, or even speak her name. Snape and Lily (Harry Potter) : This one is not only pausible, it actually happend in the series. The story of how, though his own ambition and desire to impress Lily, he lost the only thing he ever truely cared about, is facinating. I only like cannon, though. I don't like the idea of a romantic SnapexLily (*Shudder*). James and Lily (Harry Potter) : While most people I know who ship SevxLily can't stand James, I actually like him. I love how he loved Lily for seven years, and was even willing to change for her(i.e. deflating his head). And in the end, he died a hero, willing to die to protect his wife and child. It's just a good pairing. My (very brief) Stand on Love Never Dies: Hmm..I did say brief... I wanted to like this musical, I really did. When I found out that ALW was making a sequel, I danced around the room. To make matters even better, it had Ramin Karimloo as the phantom(Not only does he have an absolutly amazing voice, and is pretty attractive, he's CANADIAN.) AND Sierra Bogess, (who was amazing at the 25th Anniversary) as Christine. ALW left Phantom fairly open-ended, so he really could have gone in many different directions with LND. And really, I was fairly open to most plot ideas. But THIS. Honestly. The moment I heard a (very concise) discription of LND, I went into shock. There was no way ALW would do something like that to his musical. I thought the person was joking. And then I watched LND online. I'm a strong advocate for Raoul&Christine, so needless to say, I wasn't too impressed with the idea of him becoming a drunk abusive husband who squanders the Changy fortune. As flawed as the character might be, he loves Christine, and deserves her just as much (if not, more) than the phantom. He's the boy who rescued her scarf. And Christine loves him. On the subject of Christine, she was slightly believable, probally because we don't see a huge amount of her personnality in PotO, but her pining after her phantom? Uh, no. It's important to note that CHRISTINE NEVER LOVED THE PHANTOM. He was an important part of her life, yes, but she never romantically loved him. Now to the phantom. Can you possibly get more OOC? I'll stop now so that this won't turn into a rant. And then Meg and Mme Giry. Why on earth would Meg ever love the phantom? As far as I know, she hadn't even met him in PotO. Not saying that the phantom's an unlovable guy. It's just not that likely. And killing her best friend? Why, ALW, why? Now to the plot: I find it incredibly cliché. I mean, it feels more like a phanfic some girl who hated Raoul wrote. It's just that massivly weak and OOC. The music and the actors are it's only saving grace. IN CONCLUSION: I find LND to be a phanfic of the original phantom. For the most part, I'm probally just going to use this account for reading and reviewing, as well as to tell me when xitsrealforusx's next updates are. I'm thinking about doing a ÉponinexEnjolras one-shot, but I'm not going to post anything untill I feel it's worth while, so we may be here for a bit... UPDATE: In case anyone's wondering, I'm still thinking about doing and E&É oneshot, and have slowly started to write. I have to really, really, like it though, so hang in there, I will have something up enventually. If you still want to see more of this pairing, I post Les Mis pictures on Tumblr at "labaiseeetlabc";-) |
