Author has written 6 stories for Harry Potter, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Peter Pan, and Supernatural. Among my likes (the ones relevant to this site) are Lord of the Rings, Buffy, sort-of Harry Potter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and a dash of Pirates of the Caribbean. Amazingly, I do not swoon for Orlando Bloom. I think I'm in the minority by a proportion of about 154,326,917:1. As for me, I enjoy... feeling superior, movies especially if they are very strange or unintentionally funny. Liberal politics.Verrry liberal politics. Writing, natch. If this sounds like fun, check out my xanga: Camilla is my hero(ine). Some sites I recommend: "the fire extinguisher was fun but now it is empty" the video that started a religion And my personal fictionpress site: http://www.fictionpress.com/~soymaid Edit: All-purpose disclaimer: Late one snowy midwinter's night, I heard a frail tapping at my door. I opened it, only to find Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ronald Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Frodo Baggins, Galdalf the Grey, Legolas of Mirkwood, Aragorn son of Arathorn, Gimli son of Gloin, Samwise Gamgee, Meriadoc Brandybuck, Peregrin Took, Borimir of the Steward line of Gondor, Buffy Summers, William the Bloody, Willow Rosenberg, Alexander Harris, Dawn Summers, Rupert Giles, Anya Jenkins, and Tara Maclay wrapped in ragged blankets, bodies huddled together against the cold, with their last strength seeking entry. Quick as I could, I brought them inside, put them in warm beds, lovingly fed them soup, and slowly but surely nursed them back to health. We grew together, the 21 of us, and one happy Christmas Eve, I finally understood that we had become a family. I gathered them together, and said, "In the eyes of the world and the law, you may belong to J. K. Rowling, J. R. R. Tolkien, Joss Whedon and all their affiliated corporations, respectively but truly, my children, we are bound together by love, and that love supercedes all earthly rules and laws." Then, we all wept together, hugging and kissing chastely (except for Buffy and Spike, Hermione and Draco, Frodo and Sam, Willow and Tara, Xander and Anya, Merry and Pippin, and Aragorn and Legolas, who did not kiss at all chastely), secure in the knowledge that we were truly among family, understanding that our love would never die even if we were separated by a thousand miles, with the certainty that nobody ever bothers to sue fanfiction writers anyway. Story notes: Is A Second Moment of Hapiiness Too Much To Ask: I've decided to combine my various post-Chosen ficlets into one actual fic. This will involve taking down both of them from my ff account, but that works out alright since neither of them received any reviews at all (not saying it in a blaming way... must begin all sentences with the nonthreatening first person... must count to ten...) So anyway, hopefully the coherent narrative will be more appealing than the little tantalizing (I hope) glimpses I've given so far. If it seems like the first chapter of A Second Moment of Happiness has been revised from a version taking place right after Chosen, good for you, you caught me. If it seems likethe Angel storyline wraps up too quickly... well, you may be correct, but I'm alright with it. Erin the Muggle and the Deatheaters' Curse: As proud as I am of the writing in this (I made a Sorting Hat song! How's that for not cutting corners?) it does seem to be veering dangerously over Dead MarySue's Curve. Also, I'm not sure if I'm going to finish it due the incredibly lukewarm response it's gotten. It's not praise I'm looking for; it's just feedback of any sort. In Orbit: Finished, although I may edit the last chapter a bit. I heart Slightly. Present, Absent: Not sure about the fate of this fic, sicne I don't know what actual events can happen. You'll notice nothing actual has happened yet. Draco Malfoy and Entirely Too Many Weasleys: This has to be my favorite title of any of my stories. Umm... besides that, any readers will be glad to know it's still in progress, at least for as long as I can figure out how to write the stuff that's happening. You'll notice I haven't gone into incredible detail about the Golden Trio's activities as of yet. Hmm. A Nitpicker's Lord of the Rings: I had a supercool LotR parody but ff.net deleted it because it was in script format. It had twelve whole reviews! Anyway, I'm not sure what to do with it now. If anyone is compiling a collection of LotR stories or parodies, I'd be glad to submit a chapter for review and possible inclusion. My username is soymaid327 and I live at yahoo. We'll talk. |
