![]() Author has written 10 stories for Elsword, RWBY, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Pokémon, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, and Elder Scroll series. My Profile: I'm nothing unique. But everybody seems to disagree with me. My family always tells me that I have a bright future ahead of me. If I did, I wouldn't be here *laughs*. Sorry, sorry. That wasn't a shot at users here, promise. Tastes. I've always loved games, music, anime, any form of culture, really. But I've lately been into light novels, thanks to Reki Kawahara. And Hataraku Maō-Sama. Let's start with games. That's the easy part. My favorite game franchises are (in no order) The Legend of Zelda, Hyperdimension Neptunia, and my 3rd favorite is a tie between Super Smash Bros. and Pokémon. Though I do wish that TLoZ and Pokémon would vary the story once in a while. As for music? Music is my second life, with writing being my third. I have no favorite artist; I accept music from all walks of life. The artists I listen to the most? Naming 10 right now, in alphabetical order: Adam Lambert, Alestorm, Amon Amarth, Dream Theater, Hollywood Undead, Judas Priest, Kamelot, Nox Arcana, Pet Shop Boys, and Tech N9ne. And if I can 5 more: Cradle of Filth, DragonForce, Empire of the Sun, Helloween, and Rhapsody of Fire. Hopefully, some of my favorites will inspire you to find a new artist to enjoy. Music is a beautiful thing, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I may criticize what music you listen to, but I will always respect your free will. I've been watching anime since around when I discovered YouTube, before the 2013 crackdowns. Yes, I'm aware of the "anime" that would run on the weekly childrens' TV blocks, but do those count as "real?" Shuffle! was the first real anime I ever saw; I was 10, and you can imagine what that will do to a young mind. But until I was 13, I would feel slightly nauseous watching any anime with bloodshed. It made staying late night at my friend's house on Saturday night hell when Inuyasha came on. That sensitivity was destroyed on my 13th birthday. Watching Code Geass will do that to you. One of my biggest loves for any kind of story are the characters. Some like plot, and I get that; without a plot, you have no story. But the plot can't move without characters, I reason. And, weird though it is, I can't help but love a lot of the minor characters. You know, the ones that don't usually contribute much, if anything, to the story. I'll let other people gush over the main characters. It's how I am; I can't help it. The list of stories I'm working on only continues to increase, with a new idea about once a month. At the moment, my major projects are: Producing a New Life - Hyperdimension Neptunia - T: An OC I made is pulled into Gamindustri. Yes, I'm aware it's not the first of its kind here, but I am not reading other OC stories because I don't want to accidentally steal other peoples' ideas. So if my story does sound like any others, know that it is wholly unintentional. Elrios Correction - Elsword - T: Ara is sent to a "correctional center," and meets other unfortunate souls. Okay, poor summary, but you get the idea. Elrios High School - Elsword (On-and-off) - T: A normal, 4-year school-life story. Yeah, I'm torturing myself. Holidays included. Hiatus, possibly scrapped. I can only do so much. Saga - Pokémon - K: A journey through the world of Pokémon as an OC I made. No anime filler nonsense, either. I'll add my OC details later, once I fine-tune a few more things. And yes, a very poor title; I didn't want to, but I was out of options. Also hiatus. Producing is my main project. Ambition - Elsword - T: The characters of Elsword in a Warring States-era style backdrop. Thinking of scrapping, though. Or at least hiatus. The CPU Tournament - Hyperdimension Neptunia - M: A collection of games hosted by Planeptune. M-rated for reasons. Will be worked into the canon of Producing, but will still be an independent story. That's it for my major projects. I do have minor projects (too many), but they do not take precedent. I apologize if some (read: many) of my chapters are shoddily written and/or edited. For a while, my stories are going to be all over the place because I previously worked on 2 separate computers, so I have to gather all of my material into one place, so I can't publish anything for quite a while. And my updates will not come but once in a blue moon. I like to have multiple chapters typed before I start posting. And to those reading Into the Legend, that's getting a rewrite, so look out for something that isn't rushed (see below). Now for the hard part. Lately, I've discovered some good (to me, at least) stories that were started, but sadly, were never finished. Though I haven't asked for it formally, I hope the original authors do allow me to continue their works. Undertale - Undertale - T: A novelization of the original game. Gives insight to how Frisk might react to their (for the sake of this story, her) situation. Originally published by Picachuyou. No updates since Spetember, 2016. I read a chapter or two, and found myself loving the additional character depth. I wasn't going to let the story die like that. Unity - Undertale - T: An optimistic retelling of Chara living vicariously through the Underground in Frisk's body. Originally published by DreamAlex. No updates since June, 2016. Again, I loved seeing some depth added to the characters. Chara was always my favorite, though, so I may be a bit biased here. I don't want to see great potential get wasted. Unless it's my own, which then, well, hey, I'm still here, right? Continuing on my list of stories, I've started exploring the idea of song-fics. I've actually already published one, and I hope to do more in the future, if creativity allows. If I come up with a good concept, I'll try to remember and put it down here. The title will be straight from the actual song, and I will list the artist, like so: Forsaken - Dream Theater FinishedThis one was just a sample, to see if it could be done. Explains why it's so terrible Dreams of Retribution - Arch Enemy - This one is proving troublesome, but I'll figure it out Numb - Pet Shop Boys Piña Colada - Nejishiki - This one is a special case because a) it's part of Producing, and b) it is also a Vocaloid song, being sung by Yuzuki Yukari and IA For better or worse, a number of these work best from IF's point of view, so that's how I'll be doing it. Not all of them, of course. When I was about 12, maybe 13 (I blame that weird transitional period; you know the one), I was asked a question. A predictable question, with a predictable answer: Who should you love most in the world? I'll reveal the answer later. When I publish the first chapter of my Neptunia fic next week, leave a comment with your answer. Sorry, not meaning to be so heavy here; it's just that I've been exposed to a lot of mature material lately, and I want to clear the air. Started DDLC recently (If you know what that acronym means, you belong here), and I've just been thinking. For a while, I was really into quotes. Actually, I just found lyrics from songs that I liked and wrote them down. Happy, funny, sad, whatever. If I liked it, it would be written. I'll put some down here as I remember them, or find some new ones. But for now, let's start with a pledge: Together we are, a powerful force, as one mind, body, and soul. Let no evil enter, nor attempt to reduce us, because of the beliefs we hold. And with this love, combined with our strengths, we ward off pain and stress. Technician I am, wholeheartedly, in life, and in death. And love, is a word you never heard/Your heart ain't cold 'cause it burns/A desire to leave the mire (Within Temptation, "And We Run") Gape in awe at the burning sun, a tangled mesh, insane, divine/Near infinite mighty source of a day not bound to end (Helloween, "Burning Sun) I'm a sinner to most, but a sage to some (Slipknot, "Sulfur") Vulnerable (Pet Shop Boys) I don't have any one highlight lyric from this song, but I feel like I'll be borrowing from this in the future Original Characters (Sorry, this part was copy-pasted from MW (You guys know what that is by now), and I don't know how to fix the format) · Hyperdimension Neptunia: · Name: Mavis/Nickname: Maze (Provided by Neptune, of course) · Gender: Female · Age: 19 · Birthday: July 4th · Height: 165 cm. (5'5 for us illiterate standard users; I'm trying to learn) · Weight: 49 kg. (108 lbs.) · Hair: Long, straight brown-with-blonde hair; cuts it short in Ch. 4; may choose to grow it out again · Eyes: Green w/ some gold spots; no glasses or contacts · Personality: · She doesn’t particularly enjoy lying, so she’s generally honest, but has no compunction about lying if necessary · She’s a hard cynic, with little faith in humanity; she has trouble opening up to others, and shows surprise at others opening up to her · Her ultimate goals are hedonistic, but even so, she can’t fully abandon her conscience · Passive; she tends to stand down in an argument, and will, 9 times out of 10, avoid any form of discontent in her life · She always has some form of entertainment planned, and has no issue about dragging her friends into it; still, she’ll slam the brakes if someone could get hurt · She has personal experience predicting peoples’ actions, and will use that experience to form contingency plans to any event she’s involved in · She presents an air of calmness, appearing apathetic at times, but if a sensitive topic is brought up, she proves to be brutally honest, borderline violent, in her words and actions · Self-loathing; she hates herself, or at least, her humanity; she doesn’t want to be perfect, but she wants to change · Clothes: Ch. 1-4: White cotton shirt, Faded blue jeans, White crew-cut socks, Black espadrilles Ch. 5-?: Loose black mesh shirt, White skirt, Black crew socks, . . .still deciding on the shoes · Hobbies: Gymnastics, Volleyball, Swimming, Singing (Not that she's great) · Weapons: Scythe (So, yeah, this just happened. I wanted to use the rings I had here earlier, but as I kept writing, this just came to me, so it's what you get. And yes, she will train extensively to figure out how to use it properly) I suppose the weapon choice was inspired by Shiki from the Senran Kagura games. Upcoming Projects: This will remain scarce for a while, but if I like an idea I hatch, then it will be added. I won't promise to update regularly, but I can say that I will work on these as time allows. But for now, anyway… Fate’s Little Chew Toy - Tales of Zestiria - T: Can you go lower than rock bottom? Hard to say. Zestiria was giving me a hard time until recently, and as I played through, I noticed that no character development or even background was focused on Symonne. The fanbase can say what it will, but personally, I loved her character. So I wanted to explore her past in my own way. This was just a theory of mine; I have no plans to put it here. I might, if I can even start the damn thing. I don't have a particular style of writing. No signature to let people know it's mine, save for details going off the rails after too long. People who have read A Rose Turned Over (*shudder/cringe*) understand that. What happens is, I start by plotting out the idea in my head, to see if it works. Then, I start to write the first chapter. For me, this is the hard part because it requires actual thinking. After about 3/4 of the first page, my brain completely shuts down, and my fingers just start to type out whatever feels natural in response to the last sentence. I don't really bother editing because by the time I stop, I've already added 4 pages to the last point I needed to fix. So the end is often incredibly different from my intention (IF I ever finish a story). Allow me to apologize in advance for my haphazardness. But if it's one of my major projects, then I absolutely will slow down and carefully work out each chapter. That's all I can think of for now. If I get something else, I'll add it here without deleting my entire bio. So, there you have it; me in a nutshell. Well, I'll keep writing, and while I can't promise a good story, I can at least promise to not deliver the same thing twice. Maybe. As a note, I'm uploading more images to use, and they come from a pixiv artist, handle: QYS3. Be sure to check out his work if you're interested. Producing uses one such illustration, though it's shrunken down greatly. I do not claim ownership of his material. |
