![]() Hey! SO, my name is Rachel. I love to review and give constructive criticism where it's needed. That being said, I'm also the kind of person who will go out of her way to not sound harsh when giving said 'criticism'. I give advice more on "So, why did this character do this?" "I don't really understand why she randomly got mad here, she wasn't exactly provoked." or "Why did you make this normally respectable guy a player?" People have motive behind everything. If you have some OOC-ness, but it's backed up with a legitimate reason for them to act that way then it's not OOC. Pet Peeves of mine: -Author's Notes directly inserted into a story. Really, your personal commentary, on what YOU wrote CAN wait until the end. I promise. It's like an actor breaking character in the middle of a performance. It takes us out of the world of the story, and ruins the experience. Let us lose ourselves in your story! Don't interrupt. It's annoying. -Orbs as a "creative" alternative to saying 'eyes'. Or 'globes'. Or 'glistening spheres.' It's not creative. It's obnoxious and overused. Please stop. Just say eyes. It's really, really OK. -Out of character behavior. See rant in the paragraph above. I probably have more, but that's all for now. I'm horrible with grammar, and I hate it. Yeah, I can usually sound literate and I only tolerate stories where the author sounds literate as well, but I don't have a passion for correct comma placement. '*' means I read fanfiction for those universes. Favorite Books: I definitely have more that I just can't think of at the moment... I'm a bit of a fantasy freak if you haven't noticed. Current Favorites- TV: In addition, I read fanfiction in several anime/manga universes. This doesn't really go in books or TV, but I am a PROUD Starkid! If you know what that means... I'm a theatre geek if that helps. Childhood Favorites(That I still love!): Anyway, thanks again for reading my profile. Feel free to send me an instant message about whatever the heck you want. :) |
