![]() Author has written 4 stories for Stargate: SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, CSI, and Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. As of January of 2010, I'm 31 years old. I also hold down a full time job cooking between 150 and 200 meals a day. It's because of this grueling schedule that I turned to writing. Writing is my way to escape from the pressures of life. I consider it my vacation from life. I love to write. Some of my favorite stories to write are Stargate SG-1, Jack and Sam for the most part but I like to throw in some Janet and Daniel. I also like to write Stargate: Atlantis, Star Trek: Voyager, J.A.G., CSI, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, Bones, Harry Potter, Firefly, Babylon 5, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I know they're not the normal type of shows that most girls watch but I'm not like most girls. By reading the work of other authors, famous or not, I am able to improve my own writing. I tend to think of writing as art. I compare writers to artists. Sometimes an authors' work is like a painting of the Mona Lisa or Whistler's Mother. It's very straightforward and little is left to the imagination. Then I come across other authors who's body of work is like a Cézanne or Pissarro. It focuses on the big picture but not much detail. And still there are other authors who's writing is like that of Jackson Pollack or Salvador Dali; very obscure and abstract. Sometimes authors who write like Pollack and Dali paint do so because they haven't got a well thought out plot or they have very poor grammar. Either way reading the stories is like trying to figure out what they mean. The last author that I've had the pleasure to read writes like M.C. Escher. It's hard to describe the story, sometimes even read the story, but at the end it was an enjoyable experience. No matter what type of author I read, I always come away from a story with a little more knowledge and a better understanding of how I want to write. Of the shows I watch I ship: Stargate - Jack and Sam or Janet and Daniel Stargate: Atlantis - Rodney and Jennifer or John and Teyla Star Trek: Voyager - Janeway and Chakotay - Seven of Nine must DIE!! J.A.G. - Mac and Harm CSI - Grissom and Sara, Warrick and Catherine CSI: Miami - Delko and Calliegh, Ryan and Natalia CSI: NY - Lindsay and Danny, Mac and Stella Bones - Booth and Bones, Hodgins and Angela Harry Potter - Harry and Ginny, Ron and Hermione Buffy - Buffy and Spike - Angel should stay out of her life |
