About the Stories:

The Apologist is set in the X-Men comicverse after Onslaught. It's an alternative version of Operation: Zero Tolerance providing a different - and hopefully better - explanation for the existence of Joseph. Plot-driven, all canon pairings, no bashing.

Destined to Repeat It takes the concept of "redo" HP fics a bit further. It can be read on its own, but if you want some background for this version of Harry, The Forgotten Years is a companion piece set in the timeline that he came from.

About the Author:

I'm a married quasi-engineer on the wrong side of forties, with a daughter and a dog.

I've been into graphic literature for as long as I can remember, starting with the obligatory Mickey Mouse comics at the tender and long-forgotten age of three. I mainly read Italian stuff like Tex, Dylan Dog, Magico Vento, Dampyr, Nathan Never and Martin Mystére. My husband introduced me to X-Men after the movie came out and is probably regretting it now.
An unscheduled bivouac at London Stansted is responsible for my acquaintance with the work of JK Rowling instead, and Harry Potter has become my main interest. I don't know who to blame for my recent BBC Sherlock fixation.

Turns out I've been writing fanfiction since I was 10 - my first literary attempt was a rewrite of Watership Down with wolves instead of rabbits, and a bunch of stories about a white lion cub that would have Osamu Tezuka suing me for plagiarism.
However I only found out about "fanfiction" proper in 2002. The first story I read was Connie Hirsch's Kid Dynamo, which got me hooked enough to crave for more - and to write my own stories if what was available didn't satisfy my needs.
English is not my first language, but I feel that one or two additional readers are worth the extra effort. I'm at the best of my literary abilities when I'm in a funk, which explains the tone of my stories.

Update 04/04/2013:
I managed to unlock my older account, which had been frozen since time immemorial. So I'm retrieving my old nickname and will be just "Bonehammer" from now on. Not linking to that old story though - if you stumble upon it, you can get here, but it's a one way trip. To tell the truth, it's sappy and a bit embarrassing.
