An AU set in the Old West. Why? Because I want to know how a proper, aspiring female doctor would react to a driven, hard-as-nails woman on the range. They don't know it yet, but Maura's fiancee just met his match.

Post 2x15. Jane and Maura have to face the choices they have made and suffer the consequences of their actions. Their relationship is fractured and to find their way back into each other's lives, and hearts, there is a lot to overcome. [Rizzles]

A tragic case leads to the reassignment of an officer to the Homicide Unit, which comes at the worst time as Jane tries to figure out a change in her feelings toward Maura. Complete.

Set just after the final episode of season 2. (Epi. 10 where Hoyt is killed) Chapt 2 should be rated M for Major Rizzles but if you can skip it if you like and still be able to really feel the story - Read and Review.

An impromptu Rizzoli feast helps Jane and Maura realize that they have a deep, natural affinity for each other. The M rating is mainly for foul language, but not much... we'll see how things go.

When it finally happened, it happened fast. Just a fast and furious one-shot to make up for my other story being so sloooooooooooooooow.

NOTE: Chapters 11 & 12 should be rated M. Maura faces her worst fear when she loses her best friend but things aren't always what they seem, especially when it involves the mob.
