Welcome to my profile. My penname is Nicole Peach, but my name's actually Heather, with the penname meant to represent represent my internet names of "Nicole" (my middle name) and "Peach" (which I picked for the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom and was my internet name both on Neopets and as an anonymous reviewer for several years until early 2013). It later became a first and last name to many of the people here who I've befriended on the forums and a first and last name to the characters I've used on several rps named after and based off of myself. Because I prefer people not using my real name outside of PMs, I'd definitely prefer it if those of you who greet me on the forums use Nicole, Peach, Miss Peach, or some kind of nickname based on who I am or those names. I don't have an issue with receiving those either. As a side note, if we've never met before, please call me Peach if it's over PM and our first interaction. I'm not fond of people I don't know using my real name despite it showing you've checked my profile and despite how open I might seem on the forums or friendly I might seem in author's notes, I'm really shy and PMing me while showing you haven't bothered to read my profile in the slightest or interacted with me before does make me really nervous, even if you have the best of intentions. (Trust me, last time I got a random PM out of the blue who didn't call me by my preferred name, it ended up being some creep.) Anything else you desire to know about me in terms of basics are below, mostly because I think it's easier to skim through lists than read long paragraphs of text.

Games and Other Forum Activities

As many of you probably know, I'm a large participant in many of the forum games on the forums of fanfiction.net. My forum game history starts on Neopets forums about four years ago where I used to play the avatar games there and, in the rare times they came about, games of mafia. I'd rather not get into that due to looking back at thirteen year old me with disdain, so all I'll say about that was we were infamous at the time and many of the players besides myself were warned, banned, and even frozen for playing the games. When those days ended, I began searching for mafia and about four years earlier while looking for Paper Mario forums on fanfiction, I stumbled upon Moley Koopa's Mafia: Mario Enemy Edition. What was originally intending to be one game became three, and then five, and before I knew it I was an established member of the mafia community, and one of the better players of the game. As the hosts got more ambitious, the community expanded even further due to a simple chatplay in a chat thread of a mafia game long deleted, and since then we've seen roleplays of all sorts (especially Dangan Ronpa, which you can see the link to that HQ below), gameshows, Big Brother, and even a return of the Survivor games from long ago. Being a member and mod of the EBHQ has truly been an amazing experience, and I thank everybody there for being happy to have me as a mod. May the last drama filled days not be how we remember the old community, but rather the days of yore where everybody's enjoyment was around. As a mod for your first three incarnations and owner of the last to be named EBHQ, I'm happy to remember the good memories rather than the bad. The new community being just as great as the old.

All Sora wanted to do was explore the worlds with his friends Riku and Kairi, but when the Heartless arrive, Sora must team up with video game icons Luigi, Peach, Bowser, and the mysterious Pixl Tippi to find his friends, Mario, and defeat the villainous Count Bleck. Video game novelization of Kingdom Hearts with a Super Paper Mario twist.

Chain of Memories: Video Game Edition: After defeating Ansem and saving the worlds, Sora, Luigi, Bowser, and Tippi find themselves looking for Riku, Mario, and Blumiere to return home. However within the ominous Castle Oblivion, Sora begins to remember a mysterious girl named Naminé, while everybody else begins to forget those who mattered to them. Meanwhile in the basement floors, Blumiere and Riku climb through the castle to meet up with Mario once more and to come to terms with their dark pasts. Sequel to Kingdom Hearts: Video Game Edition. Estimate of between 20 and 30 chapter currently. Updates: Every Wednesday Currently on hiatus.

Future Projects

Paper Sora: This is currently undecided on whether I'm doing it or not. The stories of three Paper Mario games (Paper Mario 64, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and Super Paper Mario) with Kingdom Hearts characters replacing the Mario ones. A lot of this is undecided, including what I'd be doing about the partners and who would be playing Bowser, but it's a start (especially since I already picked out the X-Nauts and Shadow Queen replacements...Bowser's role in SPM is one of the things holding me back the most).

Kingdom Hearts II: Video Game Edition: Things about this story are under lock and key since it's still in planning, but I am taking some world requests if I can get the world to work in the story since I have a few iffy ideas for a few worlds, including a couple of games I'm only vaguely familiar with...

Pairings

Despite the fact that my goal is to have my stories focus more on the friendships between characters rather than their relationships, like everybody else I have my characters who I like shipped together. The pairings listed here are the ones I'd be most likely to read or write, or in the case of the section lower down, the pairings I absolutely can't stand.

Pairings I Like (OTP)

Sora/Kairi

There is a lot of canon evidence for this pairing, and when I say a lot, I mean a lot. Just throughout all of Kingdom Hearts, there are a ton of hints. Sora wanting to share a Paopu with Kairi, stabbing himself with the Keyblade, the scene with the Oathkeeper keychain, the ending, I can just go on and on for why this pairing is canon in the first game, but honestly, I shouldn't have to. Kingdom Hearts 1 is literally the only game in the series where you cannot argue any other pairing for these two, period. Riku's a jerk and wants nothing to do with Sora and Kairi doesn't really want a lot to do with Riku in that game. I literally can't come up with any other pairing logically supported in this game.

That being said, the rest of my defense will be concentrating on Days, CoM, II, and fan theory involving BBS. Regarding Days, a lot of my defense regards Xion. She's Sora's memories of Kairi, and he sees Kairi as this amazing person able to do all of these amazing things, and unless the Organization programmed her to be a hacker and such (which I do also headcanon), Xion was skilled at this, along with many other things, because Sora believed Kairi was. In Chain of Memories, Sora is told that the person important to him wasn't Naminé, but Kairi, and even though he didn't remember her, his love for her remained. In Kingdom Hearts II, I'm actually going to spend a lot of time disproving the "sup Kairi" versus "asdfghjkl Riku" reuniting reactions and why they were like that and not the SoKai hinted scenes (you know what those are). First, when Sora first sees her, he looks up, completely distracted from a battle with the Heartless, and gets mobbed because all he can think is oh my god it's Kairi. Then, when they do interact, he's calm and confused. Kairi was supposed to be safe on the Islands, and even though he knew she was captured by the Organization, he was in a type of denial. On top of that, he knew that the Organization couldn't kill her and lose what little leverage they had. Kairi was essentially safe. Riku, on the other hand, nobody knew what happened to him. He was gone, he could have been dead, captured, or killed, and seeing him okay, that set Sora off. It gave him a sense of relief, and because of that, he cried. Birth by Sleep involves Kairi's necklace. It was to lead Kairi to her light when she was in danger, and when she's in danger where does her heart go, right into Sora's.

Roxas/Naminé

Rather unfortunately, the thing that brought my eye to this pairing was the "it's the Nobody form of SoKai and it's canon" argument, and if I could bash fourteen year old self's head in for using those as my initial arguments for this pairing, I would. Thankfully, those are no longer my reasons.

To me, the only place you can even see true evidence of this pairing is in Kingdom Hearts II, and the reason is, Naminé told Roxas the truth. His whole life, the poor boy just wanted answers and it's not Xion or Axel or any other character who gives it to him, it's Naminé. She tells him everything with no strings attached, and like with Xion, she gives him the choice to find out and escape or give himself to Sora. Later, he does want to see her again as well, evidenced by the line at the end where the two are talking to Sora and Kairi.

Head canon time now, Data-Roxas was guarding Data-Naminé in Castle Oblivion during Re:Coded carrying out her orders, and since the data world obviously influences the real world, as seen in Twilight Town, it's very possible this could influence Roxas and Naminé, and their relationship in the real world.

Riku/Xion

Okay, first, let's get rid of all preconceptions. If you even try to argue that this is the "het form of SoRiku" and the only reason I ship it is because I hate Yaoi, I will throw you out of my profile. First of all, that is incredibly offensive to Xion as a character, and second anybody who ships like that is just...stupid! Either you like the characters together or not, but if I see one more person call this the "het!SoRiku" I'm gonna kill somebody. (And yes, I have seen that.)

Prior rant aside, I mainly ship this because Riku sees her as a human, and besides Naminé he doesn't see any of the other Nobodies as human, not to mention he's the only one to remember her name at the end of Days. Is this something that I think is even possible to have happened in the brief time they knew each other, absolutely not. This is something that needs more time to develop and grow, but they definitely look cute together.

Finally, if you want to believe Sora's worry tears were tears of love, who's to say Xion wasn't responsible? It's clear Roxas had an effect on Sora in some way, so why not Xion making Sora cry with the power of both of their relief overseeing Riku alive?

Terra/Aqua

Okay, first of all, this is probably as close to canon as you're going to get outside of SoKai. The Wayfinder Trio's dynamic works flawlessly in enforcing this ship. Aqua is fiercely protective of Terra, and vice versa, and Ven (despite being their best friend) somewhat sees them as his parents. It's because of this they look perfect together.

Also, Xehanort visits her without his memories, and Master Xehanort clearly wouldn't care, but Terra does, and it must take a lot of influence to sway his heart.

Vanitas/Aqua

Opposites attract, right? *shot* First of all, there is no serious canonical answer for this one, it's all based on my mind, figure that out right now before you try and understand it and how I can ship it. Next, understand that with the exception of very rare cases this is one-sided. Vanitas loves Aqua, not the other way around. He loves her because Ven does, however because he doesn't know her to see her as a parent, he interprets love the only way he knows how or Xehanort would bother explaining when he asked, as a lust thing. The only way this could leave the sexual and one-sided realm is if Vanitas were in the Realm of Darkness with Aqua and learned to care for her through that while she learned to care for him as they fight for survival for ten years. There's a reason I consider it my crazy crack ship despite how much I like it.

Roxas/Xion

Days, just the entirety of Days just promotes this ship and they're both beautiful babies throughout the same time. I could discuss the ins and outs of this ship and Days, but my support comes from those scenes at the end that basically pull a Regina and take out your heart before crushing it into dust, especially in the novel when Roxas continually repeats Xion's name in hopes he won't forget her.

Sora/Riku

I ship SoKai and SoRiku, nobody comment. While I prefer SoKai, Sora's and Riku's relationship in KH3D is very close. The reason why I can't see this relationship completely working out, and prefer SoKai, is KH1, where Riku very obviously dislikes Sora, and CoM, where Sora is very willing to fight Repliku over Naminé when he thought he was the real Riku.

However, this pairing is perfect in the SoRiKai setting. (Which is my OT3)

Riku/Kairi

This is only one sided or pre-Sora in an AU. I mean, it's not bad, but in KH1 he basically let go of Kairi and she didn't really want anything to do with the new dark Riku for the beginning of the game. She cares about Riku, but really, it's just not as strong a pairing.

However, this pairing is flawless in a SoRiKai OT3 setting.

Riku/Naminé

First of all, I blame the fabulous Rarmaster and Forevermagik13 for getting me into this pairing. You should seriously read their stuff.

This one goes into a lot of their bonding time during Days when their only company was the insufferable DiZ. They had a lot of bonding time, and this time very easily could have developed into romance, it's really that simple.

Marluxia/Larxene

The only reason I can think of is that the two are very much the conspirators in Castle Oblivion, and really work well together. Also I saw on somebody's profile that this was like the Jessie/James of KH and I was pretty much sold after that...

Demyx/Zexion

I really can't think of a reason for this one at all, and I think that the only honest reason I can think of is because I'll occasionally read this over my sister's shoulder, and when it's not cheesy romance or stupid high school AUs, this pairing can be rather sweet.

Axel/Saïx

I blame their Lea/Isa friendship and how much I want them to become friends again, but the only way I believe that to be possible would be if they were to fall in love with each other, because at this rate nothing else could repair this relationship.

Yes, this means I also ship Lesa by definition, but I don't really care about technicalities, and it's easier to only list one ship.

Neku/Shiki

The second day Neku almost kills Shiki so that way he could get out of the game, he didn't want to, he even said he had too, and then the next day when you think she's dead, he's all sad about it. She's the first character in the game that manages to get him to open up, even mocking and teasing her at times as the story gets later, until the seventh day when Neku let's her out of the game because only one of them is allowed out.

Then they did the stupid try to reach as they get separated and I was like, ":O It's SoKai" and that was pretty much the end of that, I just sort of completely shipped them to death afterwards. You know, forgetting the whole she was his second entry fee thing...

And then in 3D there was the sort of I need my partner thing from Neku and she was his partner...right, I probably lost you on the paragraph above.

Joshua/Rhyme

I ship this only because why else would Joshua have brought Rhyme back to life, she died fair and square in Reapers Game, if it were anyone else he wouldn't have bothered, but for whatever reason, she was special. Absolutely no canon evidence and I ship it anyways, I just feel like they belong with each other.

I have no defense of this from 3D just so you know, so I really have no reason for liking this one.

Touko(White/Hilda)/N

Ferriswheelshipping, I love this ship. It's so sweet, how N in White 2 just kind of references your character a bunch, and how they were his friend and good to him even though he was sorta horrible to them, and then there's the scene on the Ferris Wheel, and well, this ship is just so sweet. Also, at the end he mentions how he liked your character a little.

And before you ask, I'm one hundred percent okay with Touya(Black/Hilbert)/N as well, but because from my standpoint it is Touko interacting with N due to playing the game as a girl, I ship Touko/N instead.

Hero/Partner (PMD)

Yaoi, Yuri, or het I don't care, I ship this, it's a great ship, there is so much care between the hero and partner dynamics (I'll refer to them as Peach and Megy since it's my team, but I really have no preference on teams.) I mean, it's a cool ship in PMD1 and all, but PMD2 immortalized this ship for me. Megy, throughout the whole game, relies on Peach so completely, she loves her to death, idolizes her, and worries with no doubt that when her partner remembers who she is, that's she's not the Pokemon that's been put on a high pedestal, and Megy is just devastated when Peach goes down at the end of the final fight, when she vanishes, I mean, PMD1 did that excellently, but in PMD2, it's just absolutely heartbreaking, because Megy decided to go on, to keep fighting, to keep doing missions after Peach disappears (unlike in PMD1 where she just collapses) because she wants to fulfill her final wish, and when she does crack and collapses on the beach, her heart is practically broken, and it's heartbreaking to watch (which is why PMD2 always successfully makes me cry, PMD1 might too, but I've only seen the ending once, so yeah...) and at that point, I just lose it, because this ship truly is a heartbreaking one.

Also, I ship it in GTI too, just not as much as PMD1 or 2.

Grovyle/Celebi

Celebi has had a crush on Grovyle since the very beginning of the game, it's so obvious and almost adorable with how she tries to hide it from the hero character so hard. Then with the sunset scene at the end of the Grovyle special mission, it's just so sweet to see him holding her in her final minutes, supporting her so she might see one sun rise.

Zelda/Link

In Skyward Sword this pairing is just perfect with everything that happened between them between Link being best friends with Zelda and all the dialogue and choosing to stay on the surface with her. Ocarina of Time's interactions with Zelda as Shiek also help support this pairing and it's pretty cute in Spirit Tracks when Zelda helps Link out. I can't speak for the other games though because either I haven't played them or I'm not far enough into them to pass judgement.

Mario/Peach

If you don't ship this...just go die in a hole...like seriously it is not only canon, it is the biggest canon pairing in all of Nintendo's universes and while I like other Nintendo pairings better, I refuse to read a Mario fanfic in which something else occurs (okay that's not true but there has to be a really good main pairing and the Peach and Mario pairing have to be pretty minor for me to accept it though.)

Luigi/Daisy

I've shipped this since before I knew what shipping was. Just pretty much it's the secondary Mario/Peach for me.

Timpani(Tippi)/Blumiere(Count Bleck)

The reason I like them so much is simply because I didn't realize at first what was happening. I was that oblivious gamer who played through the game and didn't understand the memory scenes at all and their relevance. It took me up until World 6 or 7 to even start putting the clues together that they were the same people as Timpani and Blumiere who were adorably in love together, and when I slowly started putting two and two together, I fell in love with it even more.

I think it happened because these two characters went from just villain and tragic, to suddenly tragic that the love happened too. I've always been that kind of person who adores feels and pain in shows (how else could I tolerate Madoka Magica?) and this pairing does that incredibly well, because you realize this villain you thought was a madman is actually on a suicide mission because of love.

He’s destroying the worlds because with a father who raised him in hate (and while he may have loved Blumiere his father certainly was not nice) he found a small light of love in a human girl. I think Count Bleck’s first truly positive interaction with anybody was Tippi, and when she was gone he lost that one little light, and with it his will to see good in the world. The world became darker and hopeless, and so he began to hate it and all the other ones out there, and even blamed them for her death.

Then we see Timpani’s side too. She obviously cares about Count Bleck. She’s a caring person, which we see nearly instantly in the first memory flashback because she’s willing to take care of him, however, and that’s why she took to Blumiere. She could probably tell the damage done and wanted to be his friend and help him, and it’s obvious even when she was scared off by his father because she was willing to come back (I actually wish that memory scene was expanded so we could see what happened). I honestly wish we knew more backstory about them to be honest, but I'm now going to focus a bit more on the game.

In game, we see Tippi slowly lose her initial personality since Chapter 3 where Mario and the other heroes save her, but the most interesting part to me is where she shows signs of remembering in right before we start the Underwhere. It’s then that it becomes obvious that she’s starting to remember feeling something for someone, however unlike with Count Bleck where memories of her seem to bring him closer to sanity, memories of him seem to take her away for a while, bringing her a lot of confusion and pain. She doesn't always even make the smartest decisions in these scenes (the most evident scene of that is if you say yes to Dimentio's deal. While it probably isn't the smartest thing, it would have by far made the fight easier, however if you do you get a game over) however as she starts to remember she often acts incredibly strange, such as her panic attack over simply saying Blumiere's name and her shouting out after realizing the truth on Flipside Tower (or perhaps she’s seeing the memory we see, which always confused me a bit)

And then there’s the final portion of the game. This is when it all comes together and if you don't catch the clues given in Chapters 6 and 7 it seems sudden, however, this is where if you have the gravity just hits you. Two star crossed lovers (another cliche I enjoy, although not as much as tragic love stories) are basically being forced to face off against each other (although indirectly) and they both don't want to do it. In fact, I even believe Count Bleck barely puts up a fight once the shield from the Chaos Hearts broke because then he knew that Tippi had a chance to live, which is what he wanted more than anything else. He’s tired of fighting against her, of knowing that what he was destroying the worlds for was out there all along and he'd found it too late, and when they finally can be together without his hateful dad or biased views, it’s too late. He has to die for the worlds to be saved.

There sacrifice however is the most interesting part. He doesn't want to do this, well he does, but he doesn't want her to have to do this too. He wants her to live and both know they don't have a choice if it means the fate of the world, and because Timpani does care, and she’s a lot less like Tippi was in the beginning of the game and more like Timpani in the memory scenes, she knows that the worlds are more important than her life that she was giving up now that she could be with him.

And both know that they're possibly giving up their final chance at happiness together to save the worlds, and they do it anyways. Granted the risk pays off if that picture is anything to judge by, it’s still a moment that just makes you realize that both think they never have a chance to be together, and even in the end they don’t think they have a chance because Blumiere was Count Bleck and after all he did, he didn't think he’d be in the Overthere and Tippi would probably get a free pass. So the fact that they do get a happily ever after in the end is even more satisfying when you realize that.

My final comment: The memory scene with them are really adorable.

Rumpelstiltskin/Belle

This pairing...where do I even begin with this pairing? Everything about them is perfect. The way Belle brings out Rumpel's light, the subtle way he grows to love her instead of just seeing her as an item procured in a deal. The fact that she has him completely enamored. I mean, if you've ever seen the show, the hug in the Enchanted Forest in the episode Lacey, the moments where the duo are just together make up some of the best of the show and they are by far the best written couple in the series.

I'm sorry, I still love this ship but the angst needs to stop. Did they really have to break them up and send Rumpel over the town line, really? I'm done with dealing with this ship's angst. I'm really tired of it I can't even call the ship an OTP anymore. I still love the ship, but I hate the show now so...

Chrom/Robin

Let's talk about Chrom and Robin for a second outside of everything else and remember, like with Ferriswheelshipping, I don't see the male avatar, my Robin is a girl so don't talk to me about how Lucina/Robin might be more emotional about everything or something. I don't care. Male Robin doesn't exist, Robin/Lucina can't be a thing for me.

Throughout the course of the whole game, Chrom and Robin are, regardless of who you end up pairing them with, good friends, quite possibly the best. Chrom trusts Robin with his life literally more than he might trust anybody else with it. Combine that with their wonderful and hilarious supports, and there's already a pretty good amount of chemistry between the two that makes the ship nice to ship.

And then we add in Robin's backstory and god does this become heartbreaking and as you all know, I love feelings and tragic ships. The thing about Robin is that because she is destined to become Grima, she is destined from the beginning to kill Chrom and end his life, and when she finds this out and Lucina is forced to kill her own mom, what does she do? She let's her, I mean yeah, it's choice based, but she let's her kill her if you say yes, which you will because by this point if you aren't attached to all the people in the world, if not Chrom (and when you marry him, you'll get attached), then you clearly can't be moved. On top of that, the events of the end game will destroy you if you marry Chrom because he wants to save you, and when he can't because you choose to kill Grima, he is forced to watch the person he loves die. You sacrifice yourself so Chrom can live a better life and I really don't know there's just something about shipping these two that really works out. I swear to god if the Avatar could have had a single in story defined gender, they would have picked female and she would have married Chrom as a canon thing.

Pairings I Dislike/Hate(I will not clarify which is which):

Axel/Roxas

I'm not even going to lie. I genuinely can't figure out why I don't like this ship. By all means it should be something I love, I love the Sea Salt Trio and the babies in it, I love the AkuRoku friendship so much, I even cried when I played through the AkuRoku scene of Kingdom Hearts II (The Final Mix one with Axel and Roxas) and it was the only scene besides Xion's death I have cried at, so by all means I don't understand why I don't ship it. Canon there is no reason for me not to ship it, and even if I didn't die hard ship it I still ship multiships all the time so I should ship it. And yet, there is just this giant block that prevents me from shipping it, and honestly, I can only think of one thing. The fanbase.

I hate crazy fanbases. I genuinely hate fanbases with a lot of bad apples that are vocal. It turned me off of MLP, it's made me refuse to even look at anything in the "SuperWhoLock" group fandom, and it's made me dislike Marvel movies in the Avengers franchise (even though I actually did enjoy movies like Thor and Iron Man 3 a lot) so obviously, this fanbase has had its way with me. The fact that Xion haters, the ones who don't even try to understand how people like her and constantly wave their "I hate Xion because she's a Mary Sue/Get Xarmy Sue out of Organization XIII/It's Organization XIII, not Organization XIV," flags around and then get mad and throw hate for no reason are almost all AkuRoku fans. The fact that I see people who hate Xion because "she gets in the way of AkuRoku" honestly disgusts me, more so than the ones who hate Kairi because she gets in the way of SoRiku because Xion is my precious baby that I'm fiercely protective of, but if people are that insecure in their ship where a female character introduced can get in the way of their ship, then maybe their ship just wasn't meant to be canon or they're insecure of that ship in the first place to the point where if even they ship the other ship, they shouldn't be shipping this ship. (I mean look at me, I don't hate Sumia because she's technically Chrom's canon wife and gets in the way of Chrom/Robin.) While the fandom has shut up from what I can tell about these reasons and most of the hate for Xion is gone from the AkuRoku fandom, the fact that I would hide the fact that I love Xion once upon a time because of these crazy shippers probably has something to do with why I don't ship AkuRoku and never will.

Xion/Vanitas

Never met, never will, can't love each other, end of story.

Sora/Roxas

Probably my least favorite pairing in the Kingdom Hearts universe because a)They are the same person now, b) They don't love each other, c)They've hardly met, and finally, when I write the two in an AU setting where they "could" possibly fall in love, I write them as brothers, which I also do for most, if not all different Nobody/Somebody groupings, so it's incest and particularly gross.

Axel/Xion

This pairing also has a very unstable canon. Throughout the whole game, Xion and Axel are on again off again friends, and yet that leads to romance. Building off of that, Axel captures her both times, when she's not particularly happy to be back, and after she returns to the Organization, we only truly see one more friendly interaction between the two and that's Day 352, but other then that the two aren't friends for long enough to hold a romantic relationship with each other, and Axel is one of the first to forget her, which means Xion didn't matter enough to try and remember her for as long as possible. Overall Xion could do much better then Axel, and I plan on staying as far away from this pairing as possible.

Not to mention most of it's fans are hypocrites because the only reason to like this one but not AkuRoku (because really all the arguments against with the exception that Roxas' and Axel's relationship being possibly worse at the end are the same) is the fact that AkuRoku is Yaoi and this one isn't, which sort of angers me a little bit (This is personal analysis and is not a reason I might hate you because you like AkuShi).

Xigbar/Demyx

Xigbar's just way older then Demyx, I have nothing more to say.

Marluxia/Vexen

I believe the same way with XigDem a I do here, except there is also anticanon support with the fact that Marluxia hates Vexen.

Riku/Yuffie

I cannot stand this pairing. What happened to change my mind? Every fic I read with this has the romance written like crap. Riku and Yuffie meet and it's like this love at first sight thing, I mean, what the hell? Riku is not the kind of love at first sight scenario, not to mention their personalities don't even work together, I just...I can't like this pairing, maybe when the writers get better at it I'll be able to read it, but until then, no.

Bowser/Peach

Umm...nope! Purely one sided...not to mention it would be Stockholm Syndrome...

Dimentio/Timpani (Tippi)

First of all...uh...where in the world did this pairing even come from? Is there like some sexual tension or cute love I missed somewhere in my six playthroughs or something? Because as far as I can tell there is no one among Count Bleck's minions that Tippi hated more than Dimentio. Like first of all, he tried to kill Count Bleck, and whether you ship this or not, you must admit that Timpani cares for Blumiere, who is Count Bleck, a lot, like a lot a lot. So let's say somebody tried to kill somebody you viewed as a best friend (because that's the only relationship I could think of Timpani/Blumiere for besides lovers and even that barely scrapes by) and you're telling me that you would willingly consider a relationship? I'm sorry, because I don't think I would, even if I harbored some kind of crush for him I would consider it.

And do I even have to mention the events after Chapter 6? You know, where Dimentio kills pretty much all of Tippi's friends right in front of her? And you're telling me that this is an okay ship? Uh...no.

And don't even bring up the "Have you heard of AU before? None of this happened to them and they've pretty much just met/they're bffs for a while" thing. Because you know what? In order to have an AU, there has to be canon context first, and like no. And before you call me hypocritical because I like Vaniqua and it's the same thing I'm arguing against here, let me tell you a thing. I can actually argue for sexual tension between Vaniqua (granted I haven't played BBS yet, I see it) and I mostly ship it onesided with the only reason for it to be reciprocated is if she felt something for Ven and those feelings extended to his darkness. We are not talking about onesided or with some convoluted thing where Dimentio is the dark side of somebody else Timpani cares about (and I already pointed out the amount of sexual tension between Dimentio and Timpani is zero in game), we are talking about people who are writing AUs for this ship two sided...I just...can't okay?

Nastasia/Blumiere (Count Bleck)

This one, I can actually see where it comes from, but seeing it as two sided doesn't really make sense. From what we know of Nassy's story, she meets Blumiere during his time searching for Timpani. He is grieving and broken and desperate to find Timpani. If we assume as I do that he found her before the Dark Prognosticus became his, he isn't exactly in the best shape to note her attention, and even then, how could he respond to romantic interests that soon after losing the person you consider the love of his life, maybe awkwardly, but romance would have been vastly inappropriate, especially since he still believes she might be out there. If he found her post Prognosticus and is Count Bleck...that's even worse. Count Bleck is out of his mind, he's like Jefferson from OUAT, completely insane, but sane at the same time. I doubt he even noticed her crush, let alone knew how to respond if he did. He was probably drowning in grief and misery (to the point where he was pretty much destroying the universe so he could die and get revenge) and that is not a condition he even could have considered to be with somebody else that wasn't his true love.

Elsa/Anna

Don't even get me started. Not only is it incest, but my sister and I relate to Anna and Elsa almost on a personal level. (I relate to Anna and he Elsa) You want me to think it could make a good ship? No thanks.

Crossover pairings

Breaks the rules(and hearts) of the fandom and of other characters who might be a part of the fandom who love and are in a canon proved relationship with the other character). In addition, I can't stand that someone believes that two characters who should have never met in the first place could love each other. However, this is the only pairing on the I hate list that I am willing to read occasionally-why, because they can actually be cute, and I may like the story, I just hate how the pairing breaks many rules to said fandom tis all.

Canon/OC (especially in Kingdom Hearts)

This pisses me off to no end. First of all, can we just talk about how ninety percent of the time, these love interests are awful. They have dime a dozen cookie cutter traits and if you want me to be completely honest, they're all Sues or Stus. They're always the hero, they're always the best fighter, they're always...like just ugh. No, you can't do that. I'm sorry hon, but if you're writing this, you need to stop. Rumpelstiltskin loves Belle, not some crappy OC. Count Bleck loves Tippi (and yes, I've seen an OC/Count Bleck fic before...don't ask...), not some idiot. Demyx/Axel/Zexion/Saix/Xigbar/Marluxia/Pick your Nobody can't love, so I doubt they love your OC. Yet somehow, they clearly and conveniently "forget" about the reason they can't love to fall in love with some bland character with nothing exciting about them for no effing reason and do. Want to know what makes it worse? The fact that these OCs distort the characters to the point where you can't recognize them anymore. Because you know, I want to read all about a doting Axel/Roxas who can't stand Xion, or about a Sora/Riku who can't stand Kairi. Or you know, demonic evil devil Kairi and Xion, because I so love reading about how cruel my favorite characters are. If you're writing OC/Canon, keep it off the internet unless the character has nobody in canon, the OC is different than others (and when I say different, I mean way different), and doesn't change who the characters they're interacting with are. Because wimpy Aqua, um, no thanks.

And for the love of all that is good, if you're writing OC/canon, don't write it in an AU fic because already you've changed up the characters anywhere from a bit to a lot. Why would we want to read anything with the risk of having the characters not being who we love to begin with if we don't even get the gratification of reading our OTPs? We wouldn't.

However I have nothing against OC/OC because I really don't care if your OC loves another OC. Feel free to go nuts with this one.

The whole Xion is a Mary Sue thing, she is not. Not to mention she keeps getting so much undeserved hate. Actually, all the Xion hate in general.
The lack of girls in KH, come on, there needs to be more than six original females.

Can I count 358/2 as well, if so, Axel and Xion... If not, I guess Riku, he was fun to fight with at the end of KH2.

23. Was Chain of Memories a waste of time? .

I absolutely loved it, so nope The card systems badness is way exaggerated, it was a ton of fun to play (except the whole Repliku fight, that last one was so bad that I never beat it before I returned the game to my friend), and it introduced Org XIII. The only problem is it took all my SoKai feels and crushed them into little tiny pieces, and that it's a muse blocker *glares at Chapter 4 of CoM:VGE*. Re:Chain of Memories, however, should not exist can we get a Re:358/2 Days please and thank you. (Aka, the card system is fine on GBA, a chore on PS2/PS3.)

24. If you had the choice of meeting ONE (and ONLY ONE!) KH character, who would it be?

Xion please.

25. Which KH character do you relate to the most? Why?

Xion, she's quiet and always worries about everybody and everything and tends to want to keep all her problems bundled up inside rather than bothering her friends about it, but my friends say I'm like Naminé, which I can see too.

26. What's the most embarrassing moment that ever happened to you that had something to do with KH?

When I kept running into this one person at a convention with my Heartless hat. What made it embarrassing is that I think she knew who I was but I didn't, and still don't, know who she was, or at least don't remember.

27. Have you ever cosplayed as a KH character? If so, who? If not, who would you like to cosplay as?

I've done Xion. Also I'm doing Data Riku soon once I remember to cut the hair off my first Clear wig.

I also used to do a humanized Heartless cosplay, but I decorated the shirt for Halloween Horror Nights, and until I get a plain black shirt again I can't do the cosplay.

28. The Funniest Moment in all of KH would be...?

Olympus Colosseum of Kingdom Hearts II, Demyx makes everything funny. I mean, the cue cards "If the subject fails to respond, use aggression to liberate his true disposition." Demyx is just pure comic relief there.

Repliku, god damn Repliku. (Or well, I mean, Ansem's second form and Xemnas were hard in 3D, as was Young Xehanort, but Repliku is so hard.)

30. What was a good addition in KH2 that made it oh-so-addictive?

Mostly the story of the game itself with the Nobodies and the Drive forms. I actually really didn't find it all that addicting and if I'm honest there were some parts of the game where you had to protect something that wasn't yourself that I honestly loathed.

Almost all of the Kingdom Hearts ones, all of the 358/2 ones, both CoM ones, and I think the second one of 2.

My favorites list is really ridiculously long, but that's just a list of fanfics I've enjoyed. These are what I consider the best of the best on my favorite stories list. If you would like your fanfic removed from here just PM me. Alphabetical order to avoid implying preference.

Kingdom Hearts

All The Pieces Lie Where They Fell (forevermagik13): This was the first KH fic I ever read, and the fact that it remains on my favorites list to this day is a testament to how good it is. The story was just a prediction of KH3 and how it would go and developed into what I think is the most interesting one. This fic is one of the two reasons I ship Namiku, and I recommend you give ATP and its sequel and side stories and sister series a read.

The Best Laid Plans (Arcawolf): Did you ever really want to read a dark Aqua fic because characters falling to darkness is one of the best AU type things ever. That's this. Aqua goes evil due to Xehanort learning that she would, in fact, become a problem and takes her away from her home to make her his apprentice. Your heart will go out to the precious baby and I definitely recommend obviously.

Body and Soul (The Dragon's Throne): God somebody help me. Aqua returns, Xemnas wants to meet her and sends the Organization after her, and it takes place during Days. One of the coolest fanfics I've ever read and best of all, no ships.

Caelum: The Red Eye (Brown Eyed Sage): I can't even describe how amazing this fic is. It's incredibly well written and one of the most interesting AUs out there. This was the fic that sat in my "to be read" list for a year and a half before I finally started to read it and I just couldn't stop. The plot is incredibly, the writing is incredible, and even the character development and the SoKai dynamic development is incredible.

Dead Inside (rarmaster): This is the fourth in the sister series of ATP (written by Magik's actual sister as well). The story is basically amazing and so much better than all of its prior entries that I chose this one to recommend. Reading the others helps this one make sense, but it's able to stand alone so long as you accept a few different things that you'll come across. (The author herself though has told me that it was cool that I never read the first one while her comments about it were hilarious) It's only finished recently (and has another sequel in progress), but considering this is the other reason I ship Namiku, I'd say it's probably one of my favorite fanfics to date. (Not to mention the author herself is just an awesome person.) Anyways, about the story, it follows the Riku Replica and Sora in an AU where Sora fell to darkness so now Repliku (who is from KH canon) takes Sora's place. This entry follows both boys and has Sora dealing with his darkness in the form of Shad, basically Sora's own Vanitas who is awesome, while Repliku leads a Rebellion with the replicas and the story just gets better and better as it goes especially with Kairi as she becomes more and more important and the SoKai dynamic is amazing and there are so many feelings and just read the fic please. I don't care that it's 250 chapters please read it I lied it's not just one of my favorite fanfics it is my favorite fanfic.

Fading (Sandfire Kat): This is another KH2 based what-if, what if the Organization captured Sora? It's got a lot of angst, some cute Axel/Sora bonding time, everybody gets to be awesome as they break Sora out, and we truly get to see the extent Sora cares for his friends. I think there's minor SoKai at the end, but I'd say it's definitely worth the read, even if you hate SoKai.

The Gap (Jomatto): I actually love his writing in general, but this fanfic is one of the few to actually creep me out when I read it. The story is well written and the fact that the time line jumps around a lot adds to the creepiness factor. If you like anything horror or horrifying in any way, definitely check out this one. (Other fanfics by Jomatto I've read and most definitely recommend: Hotel Hearts, I've heard his fic Love Sick is also incredible but due to my not reading in progress fics often I'll be waiting until it finishes to read it.)

KH Birth By Sleep: Roxas's Story (DarkFoxKit and Key2DestNE): This collab fic is nothing short of amazing. Somehow, despite being something that could only be AU, a fic that literally feels like it molds with the canon story beautifully. The characterization of Roxas and the Wayfinder Trio is great and it's just as heartbreaking as the original game, if not more so because of the added character Roxas. Beautifully written I was up until about 2:00 AM reading this fic for six or so hours, and crying because the final chapters will break your heart over what happens, and trust me, the potential for it breaking you more than the original BBS endings is high.

Kingdom Hearts: For True Story (INFERNOX): Take RokuShi, RokuNami, surprise true villain that you won't see coming, and a happy ending and what do you get? This what-if story where Roxas won the fight against Riku at the end of Days. Major angst fest with the Organization XIII all returning for a while, but still surprisingly well written despite it, I'd say give it a look just because of how much I liked it back when I read it.

M I S F I T S (KeybladeMosstar): Think strange mythical creatures crossed with the Destiny Trio, an evil Yen Sid, and replicas that come from Demyx's mistakes and Even's science and that's what this AU is. Incredibly weird (and not updating for a year unfortunately), this fanfic is still one that makes my rec list. And even though I haven't read this in a year so I might be remembering it wrong, did I mention how it has no ships currently?

Not Who We Used To Be (Where Is Your King Mickey Now): One of the only two AkuSai fics on this site I've found to read, and not from lack of trying, can we please write more AkuSai or Lesa? Please. Anyways, the fanfic focuses on an older Isa who never lost his heart and how he copes with reuniting with Axel, who has. The reactions of everybody in KH2 is interesting to say the least and I'd recommend checking it out just because AkuSai.

One Hundred Suns (Amatus Vanitas): Please read Amatus's One Hundred Suns/Strength and Courage/The Beginning and End of Everything. She is literally one of the only RikuShi writers that writes things and has finished them that I don't find either just plain dull or so bad it's hilarious and she should get a lot of support so maybe it'll cause her to write more drabbles and finish up her third one. (She also likes the Xionnort AU idea and that's best AU ever.)

Princess of Hearts: A Kairi Story (LobaLu): This fanfiction is incredible. First of all it's Kairi centric and SoKai which is just awesome. The fanfic itself focuses on Kairi's journey at the ruler of Radiant Garden to save her world while she chooses between Sora and Riku. It's a love triangle, but the main plot in which Kairi is ruling her country and even travels the world makes up for the triangle in many ways, not to mention it makes Kairi just awesome. It was one of the first fanfics I read when I got into KH.

Remeber the Tides (Regiss): Where do I even begin with this story. It's probably one of the best things on the Kingdom Hearts archive. The story follows Xion in a Kingdom Hearts II AU in which Roxas actually failed to beat Xion at the end of Days. The characters react how you would expect and there is so much well written content, not to mention the worlds they pick are just excellent. It's probably one of my favorite fanfics...ever...

Those Lacking Spines (Organization VI): All I'm going to say is if you're a KH fan and have not read this parody fic, read it. It is the most popular fic on the archive and rightly so. Incredibly witty, good characterization when it tries to, and mocking the common issues on the archive in a well written and tactful way, this fanfic is definitely worth checking out.

Once Upon A Time

By a Dagger Bound (Eyes Like Dawn): Just read it, trust me. There isn't much else to say about it besides that Belle finds the dagger and is much better with it than Zelena is. Also I recommend these by the same author, but to a lesser extent: Death at a Glance (If Rumpel sees Belle, he'll kill her) and The Beast Within (Dark One Belle fic, one of the few on this site)

City of the Angels (NorthernDownpour01): Super Hero AU pretty much. Rumpel makes an awesome super villain and if you ever want a good RumBelle, this is probably the one I would name first, it's that well written and awesome.

Hart of Gold (Ultrawoman): I'm not actually sure how to describe that AU. You know that fic that you start reading because you're bored and high on ship feels and then suddenly you fall in love...that was this fic for me. I'm not sure what it did right, but it did.

Knock (Twyla Mercedes): Basically RumBelle are ghosts haunting a house that Emma is currently trying to find out if its haunted. The story basically follows how the ship develops and how Emma finds out and tries to help free them from the curse that made them ghosts. Just very well written, especially the RumBelle.

Love and Superheroes (Clockwork Mockingbird): Two words: RumBelle fluff. This story is literally filled with it, but still has its moments of not fluff. Just read it, I promise it's good.

Masque Night (Kelaine729): More RumBelle AU but this time actually taking place in the Enchanted Forest. Belle married Rumpel before he became the Dark One, Belle thinks he's gone and ends up with her father, Rumpel is hurt and becomes bitter but still loves Bae, and they meet up years later in a cursed castle where he then takes Belle and Bae back to his castle. Read it and it'll make more sense why I love it.

Mario

My Fair Lady (Shadowclanwarrior): This is actually a prequel to a trilogy that is DiMimi, so since it's technically the first and is my favorite, I recommend starting with this one. Despite the Timpani/Dimentio that is frequently hinted at (and is thankfully one sided) the story itself is Timpani/Blumiere and the sequels Criminal (written first and my least favorite of the three, the other one I would recommend starting with) and A Cruel Demons Fate are just really good.

Shadow of Doubt: Mafia in the Mushroom Kingdom (AdmiralBobbery): Peach lives. Wait you wanted me to elaborate more on the story than that? Okay fine, Mario mafia stories that are written as more than just the game being played out are hard to find, but this one does it marvelously...and Peach lives. Just read Bobbery's story okay my princess lives and that is the only thing that matters. That and Yoshi and Birdo. They mattered too.

The Chaos Trilogy (Dark Marx Soul): What could be better than Dimentio and Fawful returning? Dimentio and Fawful teaming up, then Dimentio betraying Fawful, resulting in an all out epic battle between the two, and did I mention DiMimi? Because that is what this series is. Though I only link to the first one here, the second and third are definitely what make this series amazing, and they're all worth the read.

The Count's World (The Great Allie): Everybody is in character, and that is what matters. This whole series is well written and my favorites are Episode 8, Episode 15, Episode 10, and Episode 12. You can read them in any order and the series was actually recommended to me twice by two different authors who have never met, so that should show you how good they are. Most of them are pretty short and take about ten minutes to a half hour to read (with one full length fic as well). For the main thing I link to the first, but each fic I named also have links to them individually. (Please if you don't read them all at least read 8 and 10 as those are the best for two totally different reasons)

The World Ends With You

Proof of Life (Etoile Luna): Came to me as another recommendation, I found out about this fic through a friend on tumblr. It's really good and shows the bond between Joshua and Neku very well. It's a friendship fic, not pairing.

Sanctuary (Amulet Misty): Basically if you like NeShiki please read this. The story starts a bit weird, but the concept is interesting and you will cry at the end when something very bad happens to Shiki after she and Neku and the other dorks defeat the main antagonist in the fic, because the scene is heartbreaking.

Unus Ultim Ludus (The Great Mage): This fic basically focuses on the relationship between the TWEWY kids (aka the dorks because they're all dorks), introduces a multitude of interesting characters, and just makes a great read. A lot of OCs though, especially in the reaper department, but that's because it shows all the Reapers Games that might be going on around the globe.

Legend of Zelda

Fortitude (Ingie): This story is an epic. It's ridiculously long, well written, and tragic. Zelda has to put herself through so much and so does Link, and the payout at the end of the fic when they finally get a happy ending is insane, insane, insane.

Only in Hyrule (CrazygurlMadness): Incredibly funny and well written, the story of the characters and the way they develop, especially the relationship between Zelda and Link, make this fanfic worth the read.

Starting Over (Ridica): Basically a what-if Link forgot about the events after OoT. Well written and the plot comes as a great surprise as there is a plot twist written in the end of part one that basically makes this fanfic my favorite.

What We Saw From the Outside (Wavebreeze): One of the few high school AUs that I'd ever recommend, I'm not sure what makes this fic find itself on my list, it just did
