![]() Author has written 2 stories for Spyro the Dragon, My Little Pony, Call of Duty, and Fallout. Welcome! I have been part of Fanfiction.net since 2013 and have been silent up until 2017. 'Silent' meaning that I had posted several stories, mostly short stories of video games I was infatuated with, but for reasons now only known to my younger past self now, they were taken down with only two exceptions surviving the purge commenced by previous rash self. It likely had something to do with being unconfident about myself, and it seems likely. After all, how can look back at themselves and think that they weren't rash, unconfident, or silly? I'm coming back to the site now in order to contribute to it; the idea in doing so being that after spending countless hours perusing the site's content and the creativity of others it is only fair that I give back to them, in my own humble contribution. I won't claim to be good with words; thus I cannot claim to be the next big author or to be Shakespeare reincarnated. I can state assuredly to be interested in writing, and hope to provide engaging stories for the consumption of any who happen to stumble upon them. It is my hope that as I help grow the collective archive I will grow with it along with the stories I post. I feel it necessary to explain the two remaining stories, and the likely reasons that they survived the unfortunate purge that I so rashly committed. From Zombies To Dragons The first story I ever posted on the site, and the first I ever made. It is a monument to why I joined the site, in my mind attesting to the reason why I started producing my own content and adding it to the archive. The reason being that I was in love with Spyro The Dragon fan-works, and had stumbled upon a crossover that combined Call Of Duty World At War and Spyro. I remember that it was on story in particular that caught my interest, and captured me with great strength. The story was The Last Human. All I could do was read it. Then read its successor. Then read both again and again. Coming back to it time and again after daily ventures into the archive failed to yield anything that could capture my interest with such zeal as that of The Last Human. For a whole month I kept going back to it each time thinking more and more about posting my own crossover story between Spyro and Call Of Duty. At the time it felt like there was this energy, this force or pressure building up inside me that was pushing against my chest, trying to be released into the world, into the site. Eventually, it did. Thus, From Zombies To Dragons was born. I remember how good it felt to actually post it, a kind of catharsis that lifted me up in a brief state of eudiamonia. It showed me that I could do what I thought about, that if I wanted to do something I could. I would listen to music from World At War as I wrote; trying to put in elegant words the ideas I had in my head. I was in love with the art of writing and went at creating with such passion the story I wanted to make. It wasn't bad, and it wasn't an paragon of great writing; but it was mine and I wanted to make it. However, like all passions it faded and I soon found myself bored with it, and having agreed with myself that a story without an ending is no proper story, and thus gave it a premature ending. An ending that I have removed out of shame. It remains today as a reminder of what it felt like when I first started writing, and a silent sentinel of years long past. A Day Off In The Wasteland A relic of a phase I went through. The reason it remains after the purge is likely more and indication of my interests at the time; those interests apparently being the brown and gray wasteland of Fallout and the pastoral singing quadrupeds of a certain TV show. |
