This is the "bits and bobs" stuff from my hard drive. It's mostly complete stuff, just I wasn't satisfied with it or thought it should be fleshed out. I present it to anyone who wants to read it. WARNING. Some of these will not look fondly on characters you know and love. In one particular chapter, there is a major character death. Rating is for that chapter in particular.

All in all, it was a highly eligible match and Mary was quite pleased with herself for securing it. She might wish Mr. Collins paid more attention to his scriptures and the writings of the great theologians than to the edicts of Lady Catherine, but Mary's own scholarship in that area was more than sufficient to remedy the lack.

In canon, healers and mediwitches were seemingly spared from the predations of the Death Eaters during both Blood Wars. St. Mungo's would have been a very soft target, but it stood inviolate. One patient was attacked, but the hospital and it's staff were spared. The question is, why? What could have kept mad killers in check? As with a great many other things, Poppy knew.
