Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter. My name is Lex, (short for Alexander, of course) and i'm a huge fan of fiction, Harry Potter in particularly. I devour any books that contains magic and as such was massively disappointed when the series ended, and i quickly began to search for a replacement, to sate my desires for fiction. I came accross fanfiction a few years ago, when one of my friends professed to have a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, before it was released. I read the file he gave me and was quite impressed with the story but it was obvious to me that it was not the work of Mrs Rowling. When pressed he revealed to me that he had found it on the internet, on a fanfiction site. As much as i enjoyed the Harry Potter books, when i re-read them at a later date, I found myself rather unimpressed. My list of grievances with the books are numerous but my main one is this. Why, if James and Lily knew that Voldemort was hunting their son, did they not take greater measures to protect their house? Why did they not make more firm plans for the event of their death? It was a clear possibility. And why did Harry only receive gold from his parents? As i was so dissatisfied by the books i decided that i would write my own Fanfiction which revolved around several main points; 1 - That James and Lily were magical Prodigies and together managed to make greater preparations for the event of their death. 2 - That Sirius and Remus take Harry and decide to raise him together. Leaving the Order to get Pettigrew. 3 - I also added more information on certain magics, Animagi, Bloodmagic, Wards, Family Magic etc. My story is called, Harry Potter, Heir to the New and Troublesome House of Marauders. I hope you will all read it, and leave me some nice reviews! Thanks, Lex. |
