Before you ask, no, my real name is not Natali, or Natalie, or Natalix. (It's Alinta, and Natalix is a KH based anagram with an X.) Maybe I wouldn't initially used something so corny, so abnormal as my user, but:

a) The username Alinta is taken already, and adding numbers to the end of a user to me seems to me unorginal, bland, and much too easy to confuse. And even more easy to confuse at that, because by some great leap of coincidence the first user called Alinta was a KH fan too, an Australian teenage girl with a similar writing style to my own. (Now I know what you're thinking, - 'tutt tutt, most obviously a sockpuppet,' probably - as I'd be too likely to think the same in such a scenario, but go see, go PM her for yourself, the girl - although probably not liable to check her email or actually write anything new these days out of laziness, lack of commitment and boredom of the site - makes no mention of me, and has her own semi-faithful branches of friends and reviewers.)

b) As hot as I do find Axel, I myself hold no such affinity for the aboriginal culture and would much rather be represented by a nonsensical word open to expansion than an all too common stolen/fixed element which is not.

c) I've had to put up with that name for all fourteen years of my life, and am long since sick of tennis/gas company related jokes. Also, the internet is made for secret creepy aliases. Who wants to shout their real name over the top of pages and pages of potentially RL embarrassing fantasy fic? I know I like to keep my love of gaming, reading and writing at the fairly anonymous, low key hobby-type of level.
