I primarily post Young Justice fanfiction as well as some DC comics fic. My primary pairing is Birdflash (Dick Grayson/Wally West). I post most often on Archive Of Our Own as CanaryCry, including some fics for a different pairing that I don't post here because I use a newer DC character who isn't catered for on this website.

Most of my fandom life exists on tumblr (iatethepomegranate). Well, for the moment. Things may change since tumblr staff keep implementing horrible changes the userbase doesn't want.

I've had some issues with people whining about the fact I write Birdflash before. I delete reviews that serve only to complain about the pairing, or about the fact I'm writing slash. If your review says something like "I don't like this pairing, but..." and continues on to actually say something relevant about the story, I will most likely let it stand, though I will be confused as to why you read my fic in the first place.

I have an irregular updating schedule. If it's been a long time, I don't mind polite inquiries, but I prefer not to be pestered to write more if I am updating more than once a month. Rudeness is never acceptable no matter the situation. Most writers find such badgering to be frustrating and some have been known to deliberately delay updates when they are being rudely pressured. I don't deliberately do this but sometimes may delay posting if I'm concerned it'll look like I'm rewarding someone for being rude.

The above two paragraphs exist because these things have actually happened. As much as I doubt the people who need to see those things are actually going to bother reading them, I feel the need to state it publicly anyway.

In order to end this profile on a more positive note, I'll throw in a few random facts about me:

I love Classical Mythology, and also enjoy learning about the societies of Ancient Greece and Rome to a lesser extent.

I sometimes write original fiction but haven't posted new stuff online for a few years.

I'm a raging feminist and try to avoid letting gross sexist stuff into my writing, though it probably happens anyway because we've all internalised that crap throughout our lives and I'm no different.

I'm bi and aroace-spec. Layers like an onion.

I'm one of those people who'll squeal "LOOK AT THE DOG" when I see a dog.

Chocolate ripple cake is delicious but I'm lactose intolerant and this upsets me.

I'm a classical soprano.
