Rabbits and foxes seldom get along. The same is true of Weres an Vampires. How bad could it be when a vampire fox meets a were-bun?

She's a veteran cop. He's a perennial ragamuffin. That's all there is to it, as far as she cares. Then, something happens that Detective Hopps can't explain or accept. The smug fox she knows and tries to ignore comes to her aid with lightening pulled from the wires and graffiti that snarls. Now, she has to decide; run like hell, or embrace the barbed wire dreams.

A red fox imprisoned for an act of kindness twisted into an accusation, being sold to a notable family to settle his debt to society as an indentured servant, and treatment of predators bordering on torturous and overly cruel. Taking place after the events in the Movie, starting directly after the Gazelle concert, the building feelings they both have to each other come to a head and take an unexpected turn. While mostly a slice of life as Judy and Nick find out more about each other, and try to figure out their relationship, loose ends from the missing mammals case will eventually emerge.

Nick Wilde is now on the force. Judy hops is having a hard time with being his partner. She now has to juggle these new feelings and her job. Will their relationship be the first interspecies or will it die out? What happens when a fox wants to eat a bunny? What happens when a new threat comes out to play?

My portion of the What If story thus far, denoting a tale in an alternate reality that mimics something like the American Civil War. A fox as a courier and a rabbit who gets a bit too trigger happy, leading to her playing nurse and questioning her role in her warren as part of her family.

The story starts after the arrest of Bellwether and covers all the following events. The return of Judy within the ZPD, Nick's entrance to the Police Academy, their beginnings as partners, and also the unexpected development of their relationship... The whole thing in the midst of new adventures full of mysteries and dangers.

Begins with an expanded peek at Nick Wilde's Academy training, graduation, and first day as a cop with Judy Hopps, then follows the life of Nick and Judy and their budding friendship that becomes more than either imagined. There will be some crimes, life on the beat, slice of life/fluff, and a big undercover caper that will test both of their skills as individuals and partners.

It isn't all cheese and crackers for the dynamic duo of Zootopia's finest. Especially when echoes of the past ripple to bring forth revelations of the effects they have on the future. While it may seem like a normal day to start with, everything changes when the song-bird brings forth a new song to change how Nick sees the world. Rated T, and do I own Zootopia? No, No I do not.
