Everything that Loki has done, in some way shape or form, has been for Thor. And even as they fight together side by side in Svartalfheim, Loki is still willing to do anything for his brother.

THOR 2 SPOILERS - Loki wasn't much given to outward displays of emotion but this... this was all too much.

As punishment for crimes against Midgard, Loki is bound to bracelets that force him to become obedient: much to his disgust. Whoever holds the Stone of Command, holds the free will of the Asgardian. However, when the Avengers are involved things are never easy. Not to mention when an enemy makes use of such information. No Slash, Rated T to be safe.

There are a lot of things Loki would like to avoid. Imprisonment for life is one. Sleep is another. And under that, a whole lot of others.

It will later be recorded that on that mid June day - when the heat was already record breaking - that the San Andreas fault at approximately eleven fifteen AM would shift. The resulting earthquake was a 7.8 on the Richter Scale. Of all those millions of lives changed due to that earthquake, surely none could be more important than the reset of a genius and a god.

As both a doctor and a soldier, John knows bones are easily broken. Despite this he finds that, in a moment of anger, it's easy to forget how fragile Sherlock's might be until it's too late.
