I'm a 25 year old graduate student in physics. I'm also a bit of a Linux geek, hence the username and avatar.

I started out reading Harry Potter stuff and got into Sci-Fi. At the moment I really enjoy Stargate stories and I tend to read lots of HP/SG crossovers.

The best fanfic I've ever read is the Saving Connor series, also known as the Sacrifices Arc, by Lightning on the Wave. It's a complete rewrite of all seven Harry Potter books and was, amazingly, completed before Deathly Hallows was released. It includes many original ideas, and I found its versions of books six and seven more enjoyable to read than the canon ones.
