Hello!

I am 009. I am the most unlucky agent in the entire franchise, I swear. My two most noticeable mentions in the movies are first me dying and then my car being stolen (yes, in that order). And in fanfiction I seem to be either in urgent need of rescue or else the bad guy! I can't seem to catch a break!

Because of how I work and how I normally keep busy, I am on here very erratically. Basically, I am never here when I'm actually at home, only when I travel for work and have enough gaps in my schedule to be bored, so it is common that I am gone for a few weeks at a time.

November 2016:

This time, while I was offline, I did not write any more chapters to bring back here, as I sometimes do. I have just utterly lost inspiration for these stories, and updates will be irratical at best. I started a few new projects last I was here, to try and breed some fresh inspiration, but it seems not to have worked. Perhaps I will write something while I am on this trip.

I took up writing here as a lighthearted way to kill some time and amuse my mates at the same time, but I have come to understand that it is rather more than that for many in this fandom. Which is a good thing; admirable, even! I can honestly say that I am impressed with how much people care and how much care they take in their writing, which is always something I respect more than anything. The outcome of this in practise is that writing on here is taken far more seriously than I had imagined, and the sort of dedication needed to achieve that standard I will likely never reach; I am simply too busy and my interest is too casual. I would like to thank all those who have taken time to help me out; my goal (if I had one) was to learn new skills to bring with me outside of fandom, and I definitely have. How much I will be visible here in the future, however, I cannot say. Hopefully, this is merely a brief pause in inspiration, and I will be back with the continuation of several plotlines I am glad you seem to enjoy. Both of my two longer stories have a continuing plot thought out, and I will try and finish them for you.

January 2017:

I am making another effort to dredge up some inspiration and get back on that horse. Time shall tell if I am successful.

July 2017:

I am back for a bit, trying to write some more chapters. I've gotten some really positive reviews lately and they help me feel like it is worthwhile to make another effort.

January 2018:

I do recal saying that updates on the Janus story might take until 2018, but I never really thought I'd take so long! At this rate it'll be 2019 by the time I am finally finished.

July 2019:

I dare say "Janus" is officially late! I have no plans on returning to the story, or indeed this channel at the moment. Work is busy and I never really understood the appeal of my own plot anyway.

Overlord Stories:

Overlord Q: During a mission, set out to stalk a dangerous criminal, James Bond is kidnapped and brought to an isolated island by a mysterious computer wizard. What is the man's agenda and what is he going to do to Bond?

AU where Q is a computer Overlord on a tropical island.

This story is an ongoing WIP, and an 00Q.

Story Inspirations: (1.) Bond's behaviour as he seduced the woman in red for information in the beginning of Casino Royale. He is being very casual, almost submissive, letting his target direct the situation almost entirely; likely because he has absolutely nothing he needs to prove. (2.) Besides this scene a friend noted years ago that Bond movies contain action but often no deep-going plot (mostly the older films) and another (3.) expressed fascination in shirtless Daniel Craig. (4.) Somewhere on here is an Overlord story set on an island with actual Minions. This is what set me off to write this story.

The Overlord Variations: This is an AU of the Overlord AU! This is based on the idea that maybe, Bond and Q already knew each other before they met on the island?

This three-chapter story is a variation on the "Overlord Q" story, and as such a double AU. 00Q. Complete.

Story Inspirations: This story is of course largely inspired by the original "Overlord Q", as well as comments made to that story.

Evil Overlord: This is an AU, based on my previous AU story "Overlord Q", set in the premise that what if Q wasn't, rogue or not, all that nice? This is an "Evil Overlord" version.

This story in five parts is a variation on the "Overlord Q" story, and as such a double AU. Complete.

Story Inspirations: This story is largely inspired by "Overlord Q", but also by the question of how "rogue" differs from "evil".

The Janus Variation

Once again, James finds himself waking up restrained in somebody's custody. This is an Overlord!Variation story.

This story is a variation on the "Overlord Q" story, and as such a double AU. WIP.

Story Inspirations: The differences between Brosnan's Bond and Craig's. Would the Craig!Bond be more smooth in his re-meeting with Alec Trevelyan?

Non Overlord Stories

Double00Q: Q was used to being alone, but after becoming surrounded by boffins in Q-branch, he was never lonely. When the legendary double oh couple 006 and 007 starts to appear at random, alone or as a pair, in the branch though, he is in for a change he couldn't have imagined.

This story is an ongoing WIP, and an 0000Q story.

Story Inspirations: This story was largely inspired by other fanfiction, particularly Alec/James/Q stories and also several stories on the potential violence in a relationship betwen Bond and Q.

Avoiding Treatment: James Bond is infamous for blowing stuff up, never ever returning his equipment and seducing women, but he is also infamous for avoiding Medical until he is outright unconsious. When the new massage therapist called Quillian shows up, how will he succeed to tame such a man?

AU in four parts where Q is a massage therapist. Complete.

Story Inspirations: Bond's reaction to getting a tracker installed in Casino Royale and smartblood in Spectre. He expresses the pain, but does not try and evade it or make it stop. It proves that he is more aware of pain than most fanfiction states, and along with his obvious trust issues inspired this lightly medical-based character study.

Quartermaster Poetry

This is a series of common or traditional verses, lullabies or poems rewritten Quartermaster style!

A dozen traditional verses, nursery rhymes etc. Complete.

Story Inspiration: This series came to pass mostly by accident, as it proved only too easy to rewrite a common verse into Bond-verse.

In the Double O Breakroom

These are stories from the breakroom of the double O's; as told by agent 009.

This story is an ongoing WIP.

Story Inspirations: Bond's reaction in Skyfall to Ronson being shot, as well as Mathis' being shot in Quantum of Solace. In Ronson's case, Bond focuses on him immediately, valuing him before the mission, and it takes a direct order from M to make him move. With Mathis, he responds much the same, staying with him without hesitation. This respect for life in the face of death feels like something very many of the experienced Double Os would share, and is what ultimately inspired this story.

Severine

As Silva takes an innocent woman for target pracise, daring Bond to shoot, he has already taken control. What if Bond never let him get that far?

Story Inspirations: A sudden desire to try my hand at gore.
