[Look Alive, Sunshine AU] Beth had to admit that he intimidated her when they first met in that rundown bar in downtown Atlanta, but Daryl Dixon wasn't a bad man. After all, he was the father of her child. Bethyl. (Basically what Look Alive, Sunshine would be without the ZA. No need to read Look Alive first).

His life was destroyed in a blaze of guilt and accusations when a crooked cop killed the only one that mattered to him. But then again, he wasn't prepared for the shock that followed after he'd more or less given up on life itself.

We all know what happened in "Alone" after Daryl and Beth are cut off during an intimate conversation at the kitchen table, but what would have happened if Daryl didn't open the door? This story is on-going and follows the plot of the show very closely, however, events have been tweaked based on how I think the storyline would have progressed with Beth being alive.

It was Beth's first time in Atlanta by herself when the world decided to end. When she lost her way home, she winds up meeting a crossbow-toting man with steel blue eyes and a smile that gives her chills. This is not your typical Bethyl story - imagine if Daryl were more like Merle.

He saw her the very minute she arrived in Heavenly. He watched, trying his best to go unnoticed, while taking in every detail about the way the woman looked as the driver helped her down from the coach. She was small, slight of build, young.
