Hi y'all, my name is Emily and I have lived in Southern California my whole life (although I'm currently going to college in Washington state). I have an older sister, a younger brother and two cats. I love reading, playing violin, classic and Bollywood films, art galleries, making collages, hiking, and seeing the world, among other things. I am addicted to romance (I especially love period romance stories) but I'm very picky when it comes to movies and books that are labeled as romantic... often they are too corny and/or predictable for me to really like them. My favorite couples are the ones that you don't entirely expect - the people who don't seem perfect for each other when they first meet, but somehow just are; the ones that have the rocky courtships and/or don't entirely get along at first. Also, a suitable period of unrequited love is a must - if they get together too quickly, quite honestly I just get bored.

I have been writing since I was 8 or 9 (I wrote some great stories back in the day... not) but I'm too busy/lazy these days to take the time to write much, so really I'm just here to read other people's fics, although every now and then if I feel inspired I like to update or write little drabbles of one sort or another which may or may not ever get posted...
