Hi all. My name is Lauren and I live in Australia. I love reading, writing and causing mayhem with my friends. Jennifer Fallon is one of my favourite authors and a fellow Australian. She is also the author of the Hythrun Chronicles and Second Sons Trilogy. Enter the world of Amyrantha where no one is who they appear to be and everyone has a secret. Kyle Lakesh is out to die by beheading but when the executioner is on holidays the day of his execution he is left to be hung. Only problem is he doesn't die. So he is chucked in prison where the Duchess Arkady investigates his claim to being the Immortal Prince one of the fabled Tide Lords. Being a scholar Arkady does not believe in his tale but events begin spiralling out of control and by the end of it all she knows for sure is that the Tide is on the rise and the Tide Lords are on the move again each with their own agenda. When the Immortals come out to play there is only one outcome: Destruction.

What is so good about this series is that it goes beyond the usual fantasy novel by creating a world where politics, magic, myth, life-like characters and intrigue work togetherto become something real. Fallon is a master world builder and you don't doubt for a minute that Amyrantha isn't a real world in the unvierse somewhere. You'll never see what's coming until it hits you in the face and then you'll ask yourself how stupid you are for not picking up on the clues.

Remember: It's all about the rat!

My stories:

From the Dark: This is my first attempt at fanfiction and is a Harry Potter and Dark Angel crossover. When Lydecker and Brin come to Hogwarts and X5 is forced to make the decision to go into hiding with the others or stay and take their chance. But since when is life fair. With faces we all know and love or hate and secrets that are safest kept hidden both the wizarding and muggle world are about to become entangled in the governments darkest and dirtiest secret and a centries old cult out for blood and domination.

FTD is primarily a Harry Potter story and as such I will be picking, choosing and rearranging Dark Angel events in order to make it comply to my fic. I recommend watching or having knowledge of Dark Angel before reading. I have made a Dark Angel AMV and will be publishing it on youtube when I get home, I will then put the link up on my profile and on the newest chapter. If you don't know a lot about the show I recommend watching it as you can get an idea of who the main characters are and get glimpses of scenes that make an appearance in the story.
