Hello, folx,

This account is very new. I've been in a slump for the last several years and only just decided to get back into the swing of things.

My old account is Eve Nightingale if anyone is interested. I have 31 stories spanning Fullmetal Alchemist, Inuyasha, Pokémon, Earthbound, and a couple others. And yes, Blues Clues is in there. My daughter watched it so much...I needed to vent.

For now, my daughter and I have taken a shine to Sonic Boom. I watched SatAM and Underground growing up; I only owned one Game Gear game back in the day as well. Needless to say, my knowledge of the Sonic franchise is a bit outdated. I've been looking into it more and considering how expansive the universe is, I'm just going to stick with writing things for Sonic Boom, buy and large, but I'll make references to outside cannons and spinoff's from time to time.

Anyway, I'm here to have fun and get back to writing some fanfiction. It feels good to be back in the saddle.

Since my fic has become obscenely long, I decided to spend the day creating a recap, just in case anyone needs a refresher if I don't post for a while. They get MUCH longer towards the end. XD

Of course, SPOILERS ahead.

Ch 1: Think Like and Echidna

Knuckles goes over his somewhat impractical workout routine with Amy. She invites him to the luau.

Ch 2: After Sundown

The Luau went well and Knuckles crashes at Sonic's. Sonic offers his hut to his friend because he's planning on moving in with Amy. Knuckles accepts but eludes to something else being on his mind.

Ch 3: Breakfast Not-Rush

The gang picks up breakfast at Meh Burger. Sonic mentions he's bringing Amy hers because of a TV commercial she's working on to help promote the village as a vacation spot; but really, she's home crippled with morning sickness of being a couple weeks pregnant. A brief conversation sparks a bit of unrest in Knuckles once again.

Ch 4: Planning

Sonic talks to Tails in private about what he thinks is on Knuckles mind. Him mentioning living with Amy and Eggman mentioning a 'protege' got Knuckles thinking that because he was the last echidna, he'd never be able to have a family of his own. Tails suggests, to Sonic's dismay, a trip to the main continent to check a big library for birth records. He agrees despite his hydrophobia.

Ch 5: Rough Morning

Sonic visit's Amy, who's feeling better now. He expresses concern about how often she's been sick. Amy receives a parcel in the mail with various natural anti nausea cures. He tells her about their plan to go to the mainland. She mentions getting to go to the store that she bought all the stuff from too. They keep the trip a secret from Knuckles until they can find other echidna's.

Ch 6: A Ticket Out

Knuckles wakes up to Tails bringing him a ticket for a boat ride to go to the big city. He grabs a few of his items, including a box of bells, to pawn so he'd have spending money when he got there. He asks Tails to stir the food on his wood stove while he steps out. Tails thinks about Zooey as he waits then questions how Knuckles was cooking if he just woke up.

Ch 7: Board

Sonic helps Amy get ready by making tea to successfully combat her morning sickness. They go and meet the others at the dock. Knuckles is learning counting flotation rings. They move below deck to see if it helps Sonic's nerves. He recoils into a ball in protest. They let him know it's two days to the mainland and he's gotta eat. Sticks calls Amy on being pregnant because she smells like ginger too early in the morning.

Ch 8: Never Alone

Amy rolls Sonic around the boat to see if they can find a way to help him calm down and unball. She finds Knuckles downstairs getting ready to break dance with the gathered crowd. After he finished, an Emu named Chopper mistakes him for his friend Kline. Knuckles discovers that he's not the only Echidna, but there's other couples, like Kline and Lin-Ru, who are having children. He then finds out that Amy's also pregnant. Chopper invites them to their room for celebrations.

Ch 9: Night Out 1

Knuckles wants Sonic to go hang out with him and their new friends. Sonic tries to walk around on his hands while still in a ball. He's scared by a fish and retreats back once again. Knuckles carries him there. Sonic gets smudged by Jami while Knuckles shares a drink and conversation with Chopper the emu and Buck the Kangaroo. Knuckles finally gets Sonic to loosen up by suggesting he smoke the hookah.

Ch 10: Something New

While Sonic, Chopper and Buck barbecue up on deck, Knuckles talks to the weaving girls, Jami the swallow tailed hummingbird, Pami the jaguar and Mili the thick tailed gecko. He learns of the bug dishes common to echidna culture. Jami and Pami leave to deliver the baskets they've been making to fund their trip. Mili gives Knuckles an 'anatomy lesson'. Afterwards, they join the others and bore witness to Sonic telling off the ocean.

Ch 11: Good Morning Sunshine

Sonic and Knuckles stagger home and make noise on their way in. When Sonic wakes up he finds notes stuck to their cabin door on where to go. With fears quelled, and riddled with a hangover, he joins the others for lunch in the galley.

Ch 12: In an Ocean of Peace

After sleeping most of the day, Sonic ends up running into Jami in the middle of the night. They talk about her home and how it's going through a civil war. Sonic offers to help in any way they can. The rest of the team agreed to look up information about the southern continent and it's conflicts.

Ch 13: Meet the City

The team meets all the colourful characters of the city as they walk the main road to the library. Amy is put off by Mr. King, the head librarian. He says the guy who has the key to the archive room won't be in until late. Sticks suggests medieval contraptions to deal with Mr. King. Tails suggests they study instead.

Ch 14: Think Like an Echidna – Part 2

Unable to read, Knuckles heads into town to see more sights. He winds up helping out at a pizza shop run by a cat named Mac. The head chef, Re'kar invites Knuckles over to his house the following day for a family get together and says they should mark the occasion by giving Knuckles a tattoo. At the end of the day, on his way home, Knuckles helps a young mechanic maneuver an awkward engine back into a car. When Knuckles shakes her hand, they feel soultouch. Julie-Su, the echidna, agrees to go with Knuckles to dinner the next day. Julie-Su says she had a premonition of meeting Knuckles and bets the tattoo she saw him get in the vision would come true. Her co-workers, Tabby and Jo have mixed feelings on the matter. Jo believes, and Tabby doesn't.

Ch 15: People and Politics

Knuckles heads back to the library to find out that everyone learned what was happening down south. Between the mismanaged government, basic civil rights suppression and protest riots, it was a bad time all around. When they find out the guy who has the key to the room they need wasn't going to be coming in, Amy's mood swing and hammer convinced the librarian to open the door. Tails retrieved the files on echidna family trees. Amy grabbed files of her own, stating she had a theory about their new friends.

Ch 16: Getting Around

The group confirms team Sonic's findings when they return to camp that evening, and Amy confirms her findings as well. The next day, Amy, riddled with morning sickness once again, tells them that Chopper and Jami are from a royal family and are more than likely in hiding. After Tails returns with news of a fire at the library and Sticks finds an audio bug on Knuckles communicator, they split up and sneak away from camp to assess the damages. Along the way, Knuckles notices gun toting soldiers in the streets. They confirm the militia is after the others and not them. The rest of the team lays low while Knuckles heads off to work at the pizza place once again. A soldier comes in at the beginning of the day and hands Knuckles a wanted poster with Chopper and Jami's faces. Stressed out from all that's happening, Knuckles forgets to eat all day. At the end of his shift, he doodles out a tattoo design.

Ch 17: Think Like an Echidna – Part 3

Knuckles goes to meet up with Julie-Su and sees that she's being accosted by soldiers who are trashing her garage. She knocks one of them out and the rest of the neighbours send them packing. Knuckles tells Julie-Su that he would have jumped in, but she managed fine on her own. Tabby tries to heckle Knuckles about the tattoo Julie-Su designed, but the wind is quickly removed from her sails when the tattoo's not only mirror one another, but they complete one another as well. Julie-Su suggests they talk to someone about refining the tattoo they designed.

Ch 18: By Design

Julie-Su takes Knuckles to meet the grandfather who raised her, Simon. He's the owner of a tattoo parlor in town. He tells Knuckles he remembers his parents, Locke and Lara-Le. Simon paints the outlines on Knuckles fur. He designs the back of his left hand to represent a dark past and the right represents the 'light of Aurora' shining through him. The two hang around Simon's shop and listen to stories about echidna lore while Knuckles records it. When it's time for dinner, Knuckles and Julie-Su head to Re'kar's for the party.

Ch 19: Life

Knuckles and Julie-Su show up at Re'kar's. He questions her on knowing where to go and she reveals that she was invited to the same party but didn't want to go alone. When they get in, the tattoo artist, D, likes the design Knuckles was painted with and goes to set up his equipment. For the first time that day, Knuckles eats some horderves. Jules lets him know he's eating insect dishes(and a toothpick), to which he states he's an adventurous eater. The highlight of the evening begins when Re'kar's first born hatches from her egg. Re'kar then proceeds to go around his party getting everyone smashed, including Knuckles and Jules. He tells Jules he's proud of her for showing up. Jules says that in their culture, it's nothing but hard work until a party breaks out because of a birth, death, wedding, etc.. After a couple shots each, D tells Knuckles he's ready to start his tattoo.

Ch 20: Pains

Knuckles and D establish that completing the full tattoo would be far too painful and they opt to finish the wings on his back. Knuckles is frightened by the tattoo gun and is served another shot of liquid courage. After completing a couple lines, and letting the booze soak in, Knuckles states he wants him to outline and fill the entire tattoo on his back. Sonic calls him and says the militia is looking for Jami and Chopper. He says he can't move because D is doing his tattoo so Re'kar and six other large guests leave in a van to retrieve Sonic and the others.

Ch 21: The Morning

Knuckles wakes up from a blackout and is in tremendous amounts of pain from a tattoo combine with a hangover. His painted lines are gone and a stencil was made in their stead. Amy is disturbed by the amount of swelling and dried blood on Knuckles tattoo so Sonic takes her to go see the new baby, Al-Ma. Tails and Knuckles hunt down Jules, who had to change into a dress to hold the baby, and she offers to clean his tattoo. Tails goes back upstairs and sees the commercial they made for their island playing. Sonic said Knuckles didn't see the full commercial yet, so he planned on showing him that and the other video footage he captured the night before.

Ch 22: Crazy Evening

A flashback to the night before revealed that Re'kar had successfully located the group. On the way home, Buck was shot in the leg. A chase ensued. Re'kar managed to outrun the militia and escape to his house in a van through an underground labyrinth, dug by his ancestors. Tails tells him that Re'kar sent some of his family with Chopper and the others and they're travelling back to their home by land. After delivering the good news, Sonic makes several attempts to show the party they had after everyone was safe and sound. Knuckles catches on and tells Sonic to show him what he wants to show him.

Ch 23: Night Out 2

Sonic's video shows Tails and Sticks trying alcohol for the first time. With more guests showing up, Tails suggests they try volleyball and they make a makeshift net. Sonic gives Amy the camera to keep recording while he plays. Sticks approaches Amy in a panic because she accidentally got buzzed and thinks her brain is being taken over by aliens. She's calmed when Re'kar's nephew, Xaun, tells her he hasn't seen anything unusual in the skies. Sticks thinks that because his tattoos look like crop circles, the aliens should leave her alone. Tails gets into a deep conversation about his attraction to machines. When Sonic tries to call him on it, Amy outs Sonic for having a kink of his own. Tails successfully guessed what it was but didn't tell the group. Sonic says goodnight to Knuckles and gets Amy to kill the feed. Xaun shows up and he and Sticks take off for the day.

Ch 24: Here and Now

The group ask Re'kar if they can stay. He says they're welcome to, but in return he ask they help out around the gardens. He lets them know the caravan with Chopper and the others should be reaching a checkpoint and would be contacting them shortly. We flash over to Chopper being told by his sister, Jami, that they need to cut his dreadlocks because he'd be too easily noticed. Pami, Jami's girlfriend and hairstylist, gives Chopper a suave new do. The group talks to Buck about how they all came to meet and escaped together. The documents Amy found for them both Jami and Chopper would be able to prove their lineage and assist in taking power of a runaway government. Buck says it's not worth it and Jami quotes Sonic, saying 'If we don't help now, it's like I'm saying it's okay it's happening to you, just because it's not happening to me'.

Ch 25: Passing the Days

A little more than a week goes by and D returns to finish Knuckles tattoo. He gets the guy to do both his arms. Sonic sees Knuckles is in 'the zone' and leaves him finish. He helps load the truck and it's shown that he's beginning to worry about Amy's pregnancy and the level of activity she's enduring. She says she's fine. Working in Knuckles place at the Pizza shop isn't taxing on her at all either. Amy learns from Re'kar that not only is his handwriting terrible, but they'd been unknowingly shipping goods to the shop she ordered from online, Tonic Concentration. Re'kar reports that the caravan finally reached their destination without incident.

Ch 26: Teeming with Energy!

Two months pass and Amy's baby bump is quite visible. She talks to Re'kar's wife, Kai-Li, about vamping up their ad campaign for Seaside Island's tourism. Kai-Li offers to spread the word to her circle of people and Amy creates flyers to advertise. Kai-Li friend Zeke is contacted about using his barge to ferry people to and from the island. Amy as she leaves to get things rolling, her baby kicked for the first time. She runs off to tell Sonic the news first.

Ch 27: Double-Checked

Amy is on the phone with everyone, drinking bottle after bottle of water, while she confirms their plans are going off without a hitch. Eggman agreed to use his lair as a hotel once again and boasts that he has plans for robot fights. He says that he's got a new robot he wants them to fight for old times sake. She states that it may be a little violent, but offering a variety of experiences to their guests will make a better impression. Afterwards, Amy is introduced to Dr. Sang, a sphinx, who cared for Re'kar and Kai-Li's pregnancy. Her ultrasound revealed two little hoglets, both boys. Sonic and Amy jokingly discuss rearing the children. He wants them to be his little hellions and she wants them to be studious. Amy says she wanted two children, so twins saves her time. Sonic suggests the idea of knocking her up again and Amy suggests the idea of a vasectomy.

Ch 28: Homebound

The day to leave is upon them and Sonic is seasick before he even set foot on the boat. His nerves about sailing and what's waiting for them when they get back was stressing him out. Amy tells him that she knows everything is fine and he doesn't need to worry. Re'kar shows up with Jules, who's got more than one bag with her. Re'kar speaks to Sonic and Amy and tell them to visit next time they're in town. Amy goes to help board the last of the passengers while Sonic and Re'kar smoke a joint in hopes it'll help him get on the boat. He shows Sonic the new tattoo he was planning on getting, a maze, inspired by the chase that happened the night his child was born. With a more relaxed demeanour, Sonic takes up the role of pirate and they have a fun ride home.

Ch 29: Up and Running

Near the island, Knuckles points out his hut to Jules. Sonic states it's not much. She offers for Jules to stay at her place until Knuckles gets plumbing installed. Knuckles is shown to have successfully learned how to count by tallying up how much work his new house would need. Still buzzing, Sonic takes a trip to see Eggman to ensure all his worries were for naught. He shows up to find Dr. Eggman walking with a cane and sporting a knee brace. Eggman shows Sonic around and introduces 'drink-bot', a five armed mixing machine designed to make complicated cocktails in an impressive way. Noting the doctor's further struggles, he's brought down to a sub-lab. The doctor was planning on installing a new spine. He says he's got spinal stenosis and is at risk of becoming fully paralyzed. They call an official truce and he reveals to Eggman that Amy's several months pregnant. It's lampshaded that Eggman knows about Duchad than he's letting on. Sonic goes back to the shore and they discover Xaun had stowed away on the ship. He attempts to confess his feelings to Sticks but she shoots him down right away, stating she's single for life. Knuckles offers for him to stay at his place.

Ch 30: Finishing Touches

Amy meets with the mayor and reveals that she's pregnant. After they confirm plans have gone smoothly and that the town would be shutting down by six, he tells her not to overburden herself. Fink offers to delegate her activities to other board members and Amy accepts she has to take a break for the day. She leaves to go have lunch with Sonic. He orders an obscene amount of food, claiming to have 'the munchies'. Dave the intern tells them he'll give them a discount for having the first babies born on the island in over a decade. All the ruckus Eggman caused over the years caused the population to suffer and expecting couples were apt to leave as soon as they find out. Tails approaches them stating that the tour in the jungle is going well, but they forgot epinephrine pens for allergy sufferers. After food they talk to Knuckles on the beach. He and Xaun were digging holes for a barbecue. Xaun requested to be buried because of how brokenhearted he was. Knuckles pulled rank to get him to work. He assured Sonic and Amy he'd give him a pep talk later. They head home to have a bit of quiet time together. Knuckles invites Xaun out for food after work. After grabbing a bottle of rum as his payment, they went for lunch.

Ch 31: Meanwhile

Sonic and Amy spend some alone time. Meanwhile, in the jungle, Sticks and Jules have a conversation about Xaun. Sticks says she was clear from the start that she wanted to remain friends. She asks Jules is she and Knuckles were together yet. She says that they hadn't done anything more than kiss. Tails reappeared and is asked if Knuckles has had any sexual education. He says he's not sure but he and Sonic could talk to him about it later. Meanwhile, at Knuckles hut, he talks to Xaun about 'soultouch' and how he's just gotta wait for the right one, and that it's okay to have fun in the meantime. He recounts his 'anatomy lesson' with Mili. They talk more and it's revealed that Xaun has a drinking problem when he states he can drink two quarts of booze a week. Knuckles is then given less than substantial advice on sex and how pregnancy works. Meanwhile, back at Sonic and Amy's, things are winding down from what was apparently a more 'adventurous' encounter. He then states he'd like to do a cover song with the Dudeitude. They call the others an set a plan to karaoke later that evening. Meanwhile, at Eggman's lair, he discovers that three human women were visiting the island. He decides to go and Orbot demands he shower first.

Ch 32: Luau Lunacy – Part 1

Orbot walks in on Eggman preforming surgery on his own knee. He says that having cool scars are better at impressing the ladies than having a popped kneecap. After removing his own kneecap, he calles Rouge and continued to work on installing a new knee joint. Rouge says she and Shadow made it to the island successfully and her crew were out 'busking in the streets' so to speak. She found out that the town would be shutting down at six and that's when they'd sneak into town hall to steal maps. Later, while the doctor is resting, Rouge calls Orbot. Cubot develops a quick crush on her. She asks if Eggman knew the three humans they spotted. He says he plans to meet them tonight. She also let them know Sonic isn't at his house. Orbot apologizes and informs them that they just found out that morning that Sonic and Amy were living together because they're now expecting parents. Shadow is none to pleased and goes off to confirm the information. Orbot quickly reminds Cubot not to mention that they're drilling for oil because the government would force them to pay for it. When Shadow calls back, he's furious to find out he can't fight Sonic on the grounds he doesn't want to upset a pregnant Amy. He has a couple drinks and tells Orbot that if Eggman doesn't compensate him for this oversight, he won't be responsible for what happens.

Ch 33: Luau Lunacy – Part 2

Rouge laid with Shadow on the beach while he complained about Sonic. She quickly goes through with the five stages of grief with him and suggests he let it go to have fun tonight. She proposes going on a date with her when they were done. Shadow, a few drinks in, begrudgingly agrees. Orbot calls and asks if she can grab two of their spy drones that malfunctioned. She tells Shadow she'll be right back. She retrieves and takes the broken devices to Eggman. She gets a look at the successful installation of his new knee. He tells her that the success of him drilling rides on her finding the maps. She assures him they'll get exactly what he needs. On her way out, she blows a kiss to Cubot, who is now convinced they're in love. Orbot breaks his heart and tells him he's not allowed to have a relationship with a co-worker. Back on the beach, Rouge looses track of Shadow. Assuming he ditched on their date, she gets into position to break into town hall. A brief call to her commanding officer reveals that Rouge is a soldier of sorts and the maps will lead to energy producing crystals. When six o'clock struck, she was in and out of the office with over twenty maps. Afterwards, she flies off to enjoy the luau with or without Shadow. Shadow didn't ditch on Rouge, however. While assuring the town was peaceful, Knuckles and Jules spot him passed out in a hedge, snoring loudly. They opt to leave him there to rest.

Ch 34: Luau Lunacy – Part 3

Shadow is woken up an hour later by kids pranking him with firecrackers. He calls Rouge and says he'll meet up with her shortly. As he hangs up with her, Sonic appears with a bottle of water as a peace offering. For the second time that day, he suggested a truce with a rival, to which Shadow accepted. Sonic tried to get Shadow to open up a bit, but he refused saying he was 'too sober' to continue. They head to the beach to find Rouge. Sonic briefly talks to mayor Fink about how many people were in the village that night. He tells him that they came from all around, not just off the ferry and the hotel and bed and breakfast were booked solid. He left the guys to talk and Sonic offered his couch to Shadow for the evening. One alcohol powered, very riskay, conversation later and Shadow was lightening up some, even going to far as to share a laugh with his rival and accept his advice. Sonic learned that not only had Shadow never had sex, but he's never even had a girlfriend. He suggests that fooling around with Rouge would be no more than that, fooling around, so it wasn't some kind of long term commitment. Rouge finally located them. Sonic left to preform a cover of 'Cake by the Ocean' with Dudeitude. At the end of the party, he and Rouge ended up on Sonic and Amy's couch; an encounter that Sonic recorded in secret.

Ch 35: First Times

After the luau, Jules and Knuckles snuck off to have their first time in his hut, complete with a makeshift bed. Knuckles admits to Jules he was unsure if he would get her pregnant but now has knowledge of 'baby making' thanks to a conversation with Xaun and also overhearing Sonic and Shadow talking. Jules is on the pill but they did forgo the use of a condom. Shadow and Rouge had a similar encounter, but it ended on Shadow falling asleep inside of Rouge. She bailed when his snoring wouldn't allow her to sleep. In town, Tails meets up with a singer named Mina Mongoose and she expresses a desire to have a concert on the island. He invited her over the next morning so they could talk about it. Sticks caught the encounter and went over to talk to him. She requests he keep quiet as she snuck off to her burrow with Xaun. She gave him the details of them hooking up for the evening. He agreed to it being a one time thing. After getting a guarantee that he wasn't an alien, she allowed herself to be taken by him, and even let him cuddle afterwards.

Ch 36: Good Morning Sunshine 2

Amy made coffee, pancakes and bacon for the two hungover hedgehogs in her house. Despite his gruff exterior, Shadow was quite polite to her. Sonic asks how Shadow's night went and even got him to fist bump for a successful encounter. Shortly after Shadow leaves, Tails shows up with news about Mina and how she wants him to do the pyrotechnics for her show next month. Amy has a fangirl freak out and immediately goes to set up the concert idea with the mayor. Amy then runs into Mina. She's relieved people are liking her new image. Mina wants to have two concerts in one, one for the teens and a second one for the adults later that evening. Amy agrees and they trade contact info. Amy then realizes that she'd sold all their return tickets and Xaun has to stay on the island for a week. She goes to tell Sticks and Xaun is there with her. She says she threw the guy a bone. Sticks says if he stays it would be good because he's less likely to drink so much. They go to see if Knuckles is ready to get up and begin digging to get his septic system installed. Amy walks in on Knuckles and Jules spooning. They get up and head to Meh burger while Amy makes one final stop to see how Eggman was doing. He was entertaining his three lady guests and his knee was healing nicely. He gave her the earnings from drink-bot and the hotel from the night before. She went home to find out that Sonic took a shine to Mina's new album and would be taking her to the concert.

Ch 37: Throw Down

While digging for the plumbing, Xaun tosses out the idea of expanding Knuckles hut by pouring more foundation and splitting the house down the middle. Xaun is revealed to not only be an electrician but also a carpenter. Knuckles agrees and they begin to clear some trees from the back yard. Amy calls them after the trees are down and says there was a cancellation and needs someone to fill in for the fights. Xaun suggested Jules. Knuckles told her that she didn't need to adhere to gender norms and she should kick as much ass as she wants. In the ring, Jules dominated all the robots, even the big six armed one at the end. Knuckles bet five hundred dollars with Eggman that she wouldn't get hit once, and she didn't. After the fights were over, Dixon approaches Jules with a contract deal. She wanted to hear him out.

Ch 38: Getting Started

Jules decides to hold off on signing any contracts until the house is remodeled. The group heads down to the shore to say goodbye to the visitors. Amy gushes that the Tonic Concentration rep said he was going to be setting up a shop on the island. They then go over to Knuckles hut to check on the progress. Xaun discovers that Knuckles was powering his fridge with an extension cord that stretched all the way to Tails house. Sonic went to Tails to grab a generator and found that Mina was over his house once again for 'reasons'. Tails was helping Mina open her fanmail and send out pictures in reply. She thanks Tails by giving him a mimosa made of the expensive champagne a fan gave her. She says she admired his work ethic and that he was a good choice to trust with her show. Tails requested she not jinx it.

Ch 39: Girls Night

They plug the fridge into the generator and set Xaun's mind at ease. Sonic tells the others that Tails is entertaining company; Mina was back over his house for the second time that day. Amy gets worried that Tails is trying to flirt with her. She calls him and offers a girls night to Mina over at Sticks burrow. Sticks and Amy drag Jules with them to pick up snacks. Along the way, they pick up Rouge. Shadow says he'll be teleporting to her first thing in the morning. She agrees. His teleporting ability freaked Jules out quite a bit, to a point she thought he was magical and could potentially grant wishes. When Tails drops Mina off, Amy informs him that Mina is twenty-six and that he'd be getting her in trouble if they started seeing each other as more than friends. He says he'll keep it professional and leaves, slightly discouraged. Amy and the girls land on watching the movie Donnie Darko and having a discussion about whether or not time travel is possible. Jules said she'd be willing to believe anything after watching Shadow teleport today. The next morning when Shadow teleported out with Rouge, Mina had a similar response to Jules'.

Ch 40: Depths

Shadow and Rouge teleport to an old ruin. She describes the small location as 'Easy in. Easy out,' but when they reach the chamber containing treasure, a watery pitfall traps them both. Shadow easily teleported out and helped Rouge. They manage to get the door to the lab open. With a flashlight and some echolocation, they procured a set of blue chaos infused batteries. They teleport back to the lab and deliver the goods to Orbot. He gives them both wrist devices to open the door and informs them that Eggman would be going in for surgery soon and they could let themselves in from then on. He says Eggman's nephew Snively would be there in a week to oversee the procedure. Shadow gives Orbot his shoes and asks that Eggman make them function in water. Shadow and Rouge take a shower to clean up after the pitfall that soaked them. After a steamy encounter, a naked Rouge changes their clothing from washer to dryer. Cubot walks in and faints at the sight of Rouge.

Ch 41: My Direction

Rouge pseudo-complains that Cubot was judging her but gives the bot a hug and says it isn't his fult. Eggman apologizes on the robot's behalf and tells Rouge she can wear what she wants. Shadow hunts down the drone carrying the materials to upgrade his shoes while Rouge heads off to dry out on the beach, in her fur. After Shadow brings the package back, he joins Rouge in the drying process. Cubot laments his lost love a bit too much and Orbot is forced to reset him; something Cubot really didn't want to do. Eggman learns that Shadow and Rouge are an item. Down on the beach, after dozing off for a while, Shadow quickly gets up to go see Eggman about his upgraded footwear. Sonic stopped by to chat with a 'comfortable looking' Rouge. He asks what she does for a living and he finds out that they hunt around the island for mineral deposits to avoid pirates from coming in to raid their home. A not totally inaccurate, half truth. Sonic left with powdered cement to finish the foundation of Knuckles hut. Rouge and Shadow jet-skied off to their next temple.
