Tony Stark went missing after Civil War, but nobody cared enough to go searching for him, all believing that he just needed some time on his own to pout. Meanwhile he has been horribly experimented on, and transformed into something other than human. When he escapes, he finds himself running into three children who seem to be just as lost as him, and he has to protect them.

Tony Stark never returned from Siberia, and has been missing for 3 years. The world gave up on the Accords while he was gone, and the Team Cap was able to return to America, the Avengers were back. But peace couldn't last forever. HYDRA has returned, with no clear motive. Tony Stark and The Avengers meet again, but not in a way anyone could have expected..

At age 8 Tony Stark was still a genius. Steve and Natasha get to witness this up close and personal when they are sent back in time to protect the tinier version of Tony from the kidnapper hands of one of Hydra's men. Natasha and Steve go undercover as workers among the Stark mansion to make sure Hydra doesnt take the boy back to present time to force into making weapons for them.

When the three fully human members of the Avengers are kidnapped, everyone is (pretty) sure they'll be fine. It's two master assassins and a genius, after all. But these kidnappers aren't leaving any openings for Natasha and Clint to exploit... so Tony is going to have to make some. Unfortunately, that might mean compromising himself and trusting his teammates to get him out alive.

Tony had told them that Bruce would show up. In the middle of a battle that decimated a city, he rode up on a dinky motorcycle.
