Hermione is worried when Harry ends his occlumency lessons abruptly. She takes it upon herself to talk to Snape about it and he decides to teach her. Severus Snape, Hermione Granger (SSHG).

"If I've harmed her?" He seethed, snaking into Harry's space, his voice dropping to a menacing hiss. "She comes to me crying and you have the nerve to question how I've treated her?"

A short and somewhat light-hearted one-shot visually inspired by Fragonard's painting 'The Swing' in the Wallace Collection. This takes place seven years after the Battle of Hogwarts. Hermione is Potions Professor at Hogwarts and Professor Snape is Headmaster.

Following the war, Hermione Granger's life has not settled down as she thought it would. She has not faced her parents yet, they still do not know she exists. The relationship she waited so patiently for with Ron is nothing like she expected it to be. It all comes to a head when a recovering Snape is returned to Hogwarts, and she finds a very different man than she knew before.
