I suck at these things, but I figured I'd better post something so as not to appear to be a robot. So, here goes. About me: I'm an aspiring Graphic Designer/Illustrator with my own fledgeling freelance business. I have a part-time job as a barista/assistant manager at a local coffee spot, where I've been for the last six years. I just started another job at yet another cafe' (working with kids, mind you. Never thought I'd enjoy that.) I have a less free time on my hands than I used to, and I fill it with doing whatever creative thing suits me at the time. Sometimes, I'm writing music, sometimes I'm making artwork, and most of the time, I'm reading or writing fanfiction. My husband has finally come to an amused acceptance of my addiction, but he still rolls his eyes when I tell him what I'm reading. I don't expect him to understand, and he doesn't expect me to stop, so it's all good!

I've been writing Harry Potter stuff for the last few years (mostly Hermione/Snape) but after re-reading the Hollows novels for like the fifth time, I really wanted to see some Rachel/Al and Rachel/Trent stuff. Being a native-born-and-bred Cincinnatian, I have first-hand knowledge of the city, its landmarks, and a real connection to the novels themselves. I was astounded to see that there were so few writers for it (much fewer than Harry Potter or Vampire Diaries, Buffy, Bones, etc.) so I thought I might try my hand at it. Aaand Witch's Promise was born.

It's been a lot of fun (and a lot of work) so far. I'm absolutely loving the community of writers and readers attached to this genre. I don't think I've ever gotten reviews that brought tears to my eyes and a smile to my heart before now. I just wanted to say that you're awesome people and you make me want to keep writing past the blocks.

My muse has currently come back out of hiding for Unfettered Hearts, after the fits and starts and hair-pulling I've had to do to get her there. Plot bunnies have been biting me left and right and it's all I can do to remember how to format a grammatically correct sentence sometimes. I've never been one for posting a chapter I haven't edited like a billion times, though, so it's very slow going.

That being said, it's time to get back to it!
