Christine is haunted by her dreams and the past. A move back to Paris seems that it will amend things, until Christine finds herself in terrible danger. Can she be saved? Can the past ever truly be forgotten? E/C eventually

A French law prohibits young women to marry until after a trial marriage. Christine learns to love her husband even though she had thought she loved the younger choice.
