I'd like to encourage all the writers out there who are not following the norm and writing stories about homosexuality, rape, sex and incest. I feel the need to write this because whenever I go to find a nice friendship story about Sirius and Remus and all I find is gay stories (Um... forgive me, but Remus was MARRIED in the books... remember?) or whenever I go to find a friendship story about Dillon and Ziggy and all i find are romance stories (again, both of these men had girlfriends in the show, remember? Dillon had Summer and Ziggy was with Dr. K at the end?)

The last straw was trying to find a nice story about Fred and George, (I figured, hey, they're twin brothers, I should be safe) and finding INCEST stories.

Are you people for real? Since when did fanfiction become a breading ground for perversion?

I mean, creative ingenuity is one thing, but this is ridiculous. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but if you change the romantic partners of the story, you're changing the characters themselves, and I just can't enjoy a fanfic where the characters have been changed because the characters ARE the story. The reason we like the stories we read or watch is because of the characters.

I stopped writing some of my fanfics because I wrote them between books and the facts in my story didn't match up with the real story by the author. That being said, I do try to stay as true to the original work as I can.

And honestly, I just like clean, well written works.

Sorry guys, but I just felt the need to rant after looking for some Hermione/Ron fanfiction and finding everything from Hermione/Snape to Hermione/Dumbledore. (That's right- someone put up a Hermione DUMBLEDORE relationship.)

Thanks to the writers who do their best to label things correctly do I don't have to look as hard for what I want to read.
