I hear the shot a split second before my left shoulder erupts in an agonizing, white hot pain that causes my legs to fail and I fall to my knees. I lean against a car trying to apply pressure to the wound. I look up and see the Winter Solider standing in front of me about to pull the trigger. The story is about Natasha injury in Winter Solider. It is told from her perspective.

It isn't the type of shaking that happens when she cries- no, this is much more precise, and therefore much more scary. Each part of her body tremors, shakes in its place, and. She. Can't. Breathe.

There's a lone teddy bear sitting on the couch in the main living room of Stark Towers, and Natasha is suspicious. She will do whatever it takes to keep those in the tower safe, including sacrificing herself for the greater good. (some shameless fluff, and a touch of angst)

Natasha takes the hint that their resident Thunder God is brooding when mysterious foul weather plagues the Tower. In the late hours of night, she visits him and winds up braiding his hair of all things. The relaxed conversation and unexpected bonding proves pleasant for both, but in the process of helping Thor find a way to vent, Nat ends up doing something spontaneous herself.

Potential spoilers for Captain America: The Winter Soldier (but very slight). The Avengers unwind after the events of the Winter Soldier, but Steve finds himself dwelling on something that happened between him and Natasha on the op, and wants to come clean to Clint. His confession doesn't go quite the way he expects.

Blinking hard, she tried to root herself. Holding tight to the arm rests, she kept still. Forcing her breathing normal, she slumped over. "Natasha?" She can hear Tony, voice faint behind her. Steve's talking is blurred, fading from in front of her and appearing beside her almost violently. panicattack!tasha

The Avengers are hanging out together chilling in Stark Towers, but the afternoon gets interesting when Clint proposes an odd question that can only be answered after being tested on one of them. The Avenger subjected to this little "experiment" reacts in an unexpected way, much to everyone's amusement and surprise.

The Avengers might clash like crazy, but when one of them is hurt, the others are there. And Steve realizes they're like one huge dysfunctional –but loving- family.
