An alternative take on that long trip to Bespin. While Bespin may be closer, Han's got other plans.

A galaxy: a complex system of stars, stellar remnants, interstellar gas, dark matter and dust held together by gravitational attraction. That was the only way she could possibly describe their relationship. Forceful, bright and all-consuming. Gravitational attraction was what held them together.

OT: 1950s AU. Han/Leia. On his 24th birthday, a rootless handyman makes an impulsive choice to help a cheerful blond hitchhiker rescue his mouthy cousin. Life in New Hope, Indiana is about to change.

AU: During the medal ceremony on Yavin, Leia finds comfort in Han's arms, leading them to an unexpected night of passion. Leia views it as a mistake, yet can't stop thinking about the handsome Corellian. Han finds himself wanting her again. Over time, they journey down a path of confusion and conflicted emotions, trying to figure out where they truly stand with each other...

This fanfic is epistolary: short stories told in letter form. Some time after TFA, Leia finds a box of letters, most of which are years old, a few more recent. How will this discovery affect their safety-and their future together? Takes place just before ESB. The prologue and epilogue are written from Carlist Rieekan's point of view.

Leia feels increasingly powerless to protect her son from the forces that would coax him to darkness. The very worst part of it all is that - she's starting to think she's scared of him herself. On top of that, Han is confronted with the fact that one day, he may have to choose which one of them to be loyal to. Han/Leia - a bit dark; Ben loses control of his power.
