Hi, I'm Queen of Nearly Everything. In case you were wondering, this is indeed my profile.

I've been big into fanfiction ever since I was ten or eleven. I stumbled across it one day while exploring the internet for info on a new book in a series I was reading. I found a link to an uncompleted story on FF.net, so of course I clicked on it. My older brother and I read it together that first day, and I was instantly hooked. As soon as I could, I went searching for more.

Young and impressionable, I wasn't expecting some of the things I found. I was shocked. Explicit language, dirty oneshots, and graphic violence were just a few of the things I saw and gaped at. After just a couple of days, I stopped using my family's PC and began reading on my DSi. (I was a cool kid, no denying it.) For the first few months, I only read out of the Percy Jackson archive, but then I slowly grew away from that and moved on to Harry Potter. I've stuck to that ever since.

Fanfiction is both my favorite hobby and my guiltiest pleasure, second only to theatre. I could (and do) spend hours on this site, sifting through mammoth piles of rubbish until I find those rare, sparkling jewels. I derive a gritty sort of satisfaction from finding the perfect story amid all the garbage. I don't think I could ever tell my family or friends the extent of my love for fanfiction - it's almost ridiculous, but not really.

Currently, my favorite authors are The Fictionist and Kurinoone. They rock, and you should definitely check them out if you're reading this. Celebony is very good as well - my favorite of her work is her alternate ending to Recnac Transfero. It's amazing and tearjerking and just perfect, so go read it right now.
