I first visited fanfiction.net when I was about 14 years old and absolutely obsessed with Stargate. Along with doing everything else a normal naughty teenager would do, I would spend countless hours on here into the wee hours, reading all types of fanfiction, totally absorbed in a whole different world. But slowly I grew up and somewhere along the lines, fanfiction got left behind and forgotten, as did my embarrassing crush on Richard Dean Anderson (thank god).

Eventually I left school, went to uni and fell out of touch with it all. That is until 5 years later when Ashes to Ashes burst onto our screens and I fell so head over heels in love with Gene and Alex (particularly Gene) that my internet searchings ultimately led me back here and once again my fascinating escape from reality was reborn.

I am not really one for books, I tend to start reading them, get distracted, forget about them, then start a new one and the cycle repeats itself. Fanfiction on the other hand captivates me. Having seen something on television or film I find it so much easier to picture the characters and plot lines, something I find difficult to do with books.

For anybody who used to read fanfiction about Stargate, I used the pen name Ameridian and I am sure there is still some of my old stuff knocking around somewhere.

Just a quick peak into what I like (the list is so extensive this is just a snapshot):

TV Shows: I adore Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, Sanctuary, Ashes to Ashes, Desperate Housewives, 90210, Gossip Girl, Waterloo Road, Skins, Dirty Sexy Money, oh the list is endless I could go on forever.

Favourite Film: The English Patient

Favourite Actress: I have a few - Kristin Scott Thomas, Sigourney Weaver, Jamie Lee Curtis, Cameron Diaz and of course Keeley Hawes, oh and Julie Andrews

Favourite Actor: Still one of my favourites Richard Dean Anderson, Philip Glenister (H.O.T), Ralph Fiennes, basically anyone who has a few grey hairs and a gorgeous accent
