 Author has written 40 stories for Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, and Silmarillion. I have loved Tolkien's writing since I first read The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings when I was 10 years old. I reread the books every year and took them to college with me. They have been through every move and so many rereadings that they are quite worn out. I couldn't throw them away for they truly are precious to me, even though I did finally buy some lovely hardbound editions. I loved the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies as well. I love the Silmarilion and have enjoyed delving deeper into Tolkien's work with the History of Middle Earth and Children of Hurin. I came to this site to write some character studies and gap fillers in the Tolkien universe and to read and enjoy other's interpretations of the professor's work. Some of my most loved Silmarillion characters are Maedhros, Maglor and Fingon. If you have fanfics on them let me know! I am fascinated by Fëanor, Nerdanel and their sons. My favorite Hobbit characters are Thorin, Bilbo, Balin, Fili,and Kili. My most loved Lord of the Rings characters are Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, and Eowyn. Also Gandalf, of course. I love the friendship of Legolas and Gimli--it is one of the wonderful relationships in the Lord of the Rings. I am terribly fond of Merry/Pippin and Fili/Kili as well. I wish Tolkien had given us more of Elladan and Elrohir. The Peredhel are so interesting conceptually as characters and I am sorry so little was written about them. If you write Peredhel fan fiction let me know! I'd love to read it. I also wish we knew more about the house of Oropher and the Mirkwood Elves. Thranduil in particular is so intriguing as a character. Quora is a great site for lots of wonderful information, questions/answers and discussion about Tolkien and his works.
